i was really looking for height vs width.

but I don’t want it to be a slug I ran 285/75/16 on my 4runner and it turned into a chore to drive without dawging the shit out of it.

that what I’m looking to avoid, I still want to
buy a boat before a regear. Looks like 255’s it is

I had to do some trimming in the front but no CMC needed. JBAs may push them forward a bit. 886s up front but the height isn’t as important as your width/track. Stock wheels and 255s keep the rubber in the wheel wells.

I know you’ll appreciate these, just picked them up for carrying when I’m on the job site. Perfect for pocket carry

I’m ordering 255/80R17s for the T4R this week. Running stock suspension on that until she decides to pull the trigger on some BP-51s so I’ll have to trim that a little but shouldn’t be too bad. Scroll back a page for picture/test fit

Those are cute, never seen a pair that small. Knipex are the BEST pliers ever made (leave it to the germans) change my mind!!!! I have the larger ones for what I use them for. Discovered them like 15 yrs ago and haven't looked back.

The T4r needs a little more stance to it with those wheels still too inset for me needs more flush. They look good though!!! I totally support the bump in size. What tires are you going with?

As far as the JBA’s do you know a ailment shop in the area that will push my caster up as far as they can and make everything else straight? I asked then at Toyota after my lift and I got like 2.8-3 but I hear others getting 4.5-5?

Same as my truck. Toyo AT III, I’ve been happy with them.

Toyo/Nitto are totally underrated IMO. They are great tires and balance better and have less issues than BFG plus they last longer and are typically cheaper, better bang for the buck.

I’ve had problems with almost every other brand, so that’s what I run now. I’ve had the MTs, AT IIs and now the AT IIIs, all have performed great.

Every manufacturer has their issues. I just have seen and came to the conclusion that the venerable BFG is way overrated for what you get. From the KO to the KX. From what I've seen with cooper and falken is they are decent budget friendly offerings. Toyo/Nitto are probably the best out there. Only knock I have against them is the weight especially Nitto to comparable other brands they typically weigh a bit more. My Duratracs did well but as they wore wet traction went away significantly.

I had problems with the Coopers, ST Maxx.

Weight? You mean the MTs I guess? The low weight was what drew me do the AT IIs at first, I think they are only 51# in this size. The AT IIIs are marginally heavier but MUCH better off road, worth the trade off.

I would never get the Maxx’s again. Between the pulling issue and how loud they get below 12/32nds, otherwise they were fine. I got 68k out of the set I had.
