Bought something for myself for Christmas, they were on sale from $99 down to $61 so l figured they might be worth a try.

 

Maybe I should get those to make up for the fact that snowblower doesn't have heated grips?

I charged them up last night and put them on, they actually warmed all the way down the fingers so they would work great with a snowblower.

 

When I was in high school we had drivers ed class and those cars came up and were covered instruction.

 

How "smart" can they really be if you have to charge them? I thought they were automatic; Do they have an on/off switch?

 

You would have gotten your license in about 1984...?

 

I got my license in 1983 and probably had drivers ed about the same time, we had a Buick Regal for the driving part of that class. I remember having to watch a film and this old lady was driving one of those Impala's and her grandson was standing on the seat when she plowed into the side of a bus!

 

Yeah there are 3 levels of warmth.

Yeah he was fine, the lady said that it felt like falling on pillows.

 

I've never been in an accident with airbag deployment before!



Plus, my truck was parked and I wasn't in it the last time it got hit, so I'd say my luck is pretty good!

I plan to; I drive defensively, but with all the idiots texting and driving out there, it wouldn't surprise me if my truck gets hit again!

 

Many years ago one of my Dad's GF Daughter had something like a Dodge Spirit, she was pulling slowly into the garage and tapped a post and it set the bags off breaking her wrist and giving her black eyes!

 

Yet I once rear-ended a 2014 Mustang GT hard enough to bend my truck's radiator support and the airbags didn't go off! Was the Dodge fixable?

 

That sucks but thankfully your bags didn't go off. Her Dodge had zero body damage as she literally just bumped that post, honestly can't remember if they replaced the bags or not but she got rid of the car.
