Yeah, that's what I was getting at. You took out 2 leaf springs, which from I can see, is basically (maybe exactly) the performance leaf pack. I confirmed that on phone with Ironman.
Since they are the same price, it's like getting the performance leaf pack, AND and extra couple leaf springs in case you add a bunch more weight in the future.

You got it Jackson. If you don’t mind the disassembly/reassembly, constants gives you this option.

I should have gone this route as well but didn’t even think about me adding enough weight to need it. Cant spend as much as I want on her yet...

On the surface that seems to be the only difference but you have to also account for the difference in spring rates, which is a lot. That’s what Ironman told me anyways after showing them my results in person.

Sorry, I'm losing track of all the specifics of everyone's setup and feedback on this thread.

Are you still running the constant pack with 5th and 6th removed? I keep seeing that I'll likely need to remove 3rd and 5th.

Prepping for installation over Christmas, pulled the 5th spring this afternoon. Much easier the 2nd time around! Was pleasantly surprised to find that the center pins were threaded, so I didn't need to replace them! Should have an update on everything around Christmas/New Years after installation. Can't come soon enough!

Strolling through this entire thread for the umpteenth time. Still excited to get the kit installed and tested!

Seeing lots of back and forth in the early posts about spring seat height. Also, thanks to @roy326 for the spreadsheet on pg 15.

Here is my first crack before getting them assembled this week. I don't have any fancy or even decent measuring devices available to me right now so Im depending on graph paper and tape measure :crapstorm: I'm not planning on making any more adjustments so these measurements will be exactly what is assembled and installed.

Iron Man Specs.jpg Driver Spring Seat.jpg Driver Threads.jpg Passenger Spring Seat.jpg Passenger Threads.jpg

Also measured out the threads toward the bottom of the strut. Not sure if this is a relevant measurement, but its definitely easier to measure with my resources. Each Strut has either "D" or "P" written on on it and there is a slight difference between the two. Also, for thread count, the Driver strut has roughly 36 threads below the first collar and the Passenger has about 35.

    Hey Fellas,

So I bit the bullet and ordered a stage 2 FCP kit, I’m in Oregon so made the hour drive to the warehouse in Wilsonville to pick up. Customer service was top notch, they hooked it up on swag.

On to the lift. Drove down to my brother in laws place to use his garage. Started on it at 7pm and finished at 2am Saturday Morning, we also took an hour break for a beer and dinner run.

Lift went in smooth, everything was a perfect direct drop in. No need to cut anything on inner pinch welds for UCA Bolts. The passenger side was by far worse then the driver side, but got both removed using a jack handle and block of wood to pry the pinch weld over. Passenger side need a little manipulation with some vice grips. The rear leaf springs are heavy, definitely require two guys. We had to install upside down and then flip them around right side up once they were close to the mounting locations. Used a jack from the hitch to get the truck frame on stands then used the jack under the axle to remove tires and manipulate height for leaf springs.

Finished install looks great ride quality is stiff in a good way, only 125 miles on it so far. Alignment went well, my local Les Schwab said that it was maxed out for alignment adjustment and would recommend lowering the front, but up to me. It was able to be aligned. I asked Ironman to set the front coils to 2” lift with performance springs and the rear I order 2.5” performance. I run about 500 lbs constant in rear. Took measurements before lift, these are center of hub center cap to the fender well.
    21 1/8 passenger front
    20 3/4 driver front
    20 1/8 passenger rear
    20 1/2 driver rear

The lift looks closer to 3-4 inches. I will get some new measurements today or tomorrow. Still running the stock 17” wheel with +35mm offset and a 265/70/17 tire load range e. Overall I’m impressed with ease of installation, the powder coating is subpar on coil springs and leafs.

I have no vibrations or noises. I do have an ecgs bushing ready to go if need be. I opted to install a Toytec Diff Drop at the same time just to be safe and get better cv angle.

Thanks to all of you guys for your help and info! Cheers

thats a good looking truck. Glad to hear the lift went on pretty good and all. I had to do mine alone, those leafs were a pain lol.

Thanks man! I bet that thing was a bear to wrestle in. Did it take long for your springs and leafs to settle? Anything come loose overtime?

Yea, no fun at all. I used locktite, umm can’t remember if red or blue, the one you don’t need heat to get the nuts off. I checked the torque at 500 and 1000 miles and didn’t have anything loose. I also but green torque/paint stripe on the nuts for an East visual if anything comes loose.

How do your cvs look? With 3-4 I’m guessing the fins are rubbing pretty bad. Mine are some and I’m planning on getting special hose clamps and pulling the boot and reclamping it.

Good call on the loctite and paint. I’m gonna check the cvs today after work.

I was able to grab a quick measurement of the new height and this is what I got.

    Driver Front 23 5/8
    Passenger Front 23 1/2
    Driver Rear 23
    Passenger Rear 22 13/16

All measure from the center of the wheel bore to the fender well.

    The original measurements were:
    21 1/8 passenger front
    20 3/4 driver front
    20 1/8 passenger rear
    20 1/2 driver rear

I think I’m going to try to lower the front an inch, anybody have any experience doing this?

Looking forward to hearing how this works out for you. I'll probably try to do the same when I get around to installing my set.

I have a post a few pages back where I talk about lowering my front springs. Yours looks like mine did before I lowered it. I would recommend lowering yours as well. You have to take them off the truck to make the adjustment and get realigned but it will be worth it. You will have a better ride, better CV angles, and a better stance/look.

I have a 2013 and am trying to figure out what to set them to. The directions have info for the 3rd Gen but I can't find much on the 2nd Gen.

Thanks Matt, just saw your post. I saw you lowered 5/8” was that on the passenger side or driver? How much did you do to account for the lean? Also any issue with cv boot fins rubbing or needle bearing vibrations?
