Well dont have a 3d printer or even a computer so did it old fashioned way. Took the plastic piece out of knob and made a mold. I used clear acrylic and made a duplicate piece. Then used those decals to cover what I didn't want painted black. After it dried removed decals and put a blue light chip in the back.

I ordered Monday, I called wheelers Monday to see if it was really in stock and they just drop ship directly from eibach. I called eibach and they said they aren’t expecting more kits until February.

summit racing actually stocks them and had one left when I called on Monday.

I put my new Prinsu to work today by throwing some Christmas lights on.

Sounds like a business opportunity to me. Crank out some of those acrylic pieces, add some leds with a wiring harness and sell it as a kit for $20 - $30. People would pay for that easily.

Would be much easier and better quality for someone with a printer to try it. Making pieces my way usually takes a few tries to come out good enough to use. :hattip:

Here is a link to the them on the AMI Web site:
    https://amistyling.com/demon-brackets-toyota-9-19-tacoma

    On Amazon here:
    https://www.amazon.com/All-Sales-88...keywords=demon+brackets&qid=1607317555&sr=8-1

    Hope that helps!

I bought these, installed them (so easy that even I could do it) and then returned them because I just didn't feel comfortable with what I would use them for. That's probably just me. If you wanted them for cosmetic purposes, I will say they are great. Just made me nervous if I had to pull someone out of a foot of snow or out of a roadside ditch or something like that. Not a knock on the product -- they don't give them a rating.

Now I am looking at one of these two:

    http://sosoffroadconcepts.com/factory-recovery-mount-replacement/

With you saying that, I would not be a bit surprised if @MESO incorporates this into his next run of stealth Pro shift knobs and calls it stealth Pro shift knob stage 2.

Only down side is they would probably cost $200+.

I noticed on Amazon there was a question answered by what I believe is @Rod Ferro in which he stated “
I’ve used them to pull cars out of snowbanks last winter. They worked fine. I just probably wouldn’t count on them if my truck was buried in mud unless I welded them on. They only use one cross member bolt to mount them. I’m happy with my set and they’ve worked well for my needs.

Looks like he hasn’t been active on here for a while to ask him though. Seems pretty in line with what my expectations for them are though.

Thank you. Really appreciate that. I missed that on the Amazon site. I scoured the Web to see if anyone had real world use of these. I think they would be fine if you are pulling people out on a flat surface. If I had the welding skills to do it I probably would have kept them and done that. Those have one bolt and the other options have three so I am thinking if I get some rated bolts I will be fine. Unless I break down and get the ARB one but that might be overkill for what I will call "medium use."

I just installed mine today but I took your concern into account and re-used 2 bolts from the OEM skid plate(installed TRD Pro skid plate at the same time) and re-installed in the spot that was holding the OEM hook on the passenger side..

Yeah me too with the damn knee..lol. No what I was thinking is can you link the controller and the IPAD via bluetooth? I'll have to look or even have a long cord. That way you could fly with a two hand hold on the top of the wheel and see the flight on a bigger screen. I think it can be done.
(disclaimer) At no time would this be done at speed, or near any other moving vehicle with the exception of bears driving Mr. Ranger's truck, Bullwinkle and his buddies in a dune buggy or other animals on USFS roads many miles from cops, cars, planes and other idiots.

They are awesome! Fit snug and the material is sturdy. Improved my peace of mind for sure, I was always paranoid about scratching/damaging my seats.
