I’ve been out to the shop with a jar but always used large channel locks. I’ll have to try an oil filter wrench next time and hopefully live to tell about it

Lol I wish there “thank you’s” came with a smile and not stubborn talk!! ;-)
I like to run the lids under hot water, tap them with a butter knife and normally twist right off.
My wife thinks I’m gone once the kids are gone.... one never knows until it happens. Wish the honey do lists get smaller by then! She’d have no idea how to open the garage to get her jeep out!!

Neighbor stopped by yesterday and ask me to weld his new post driver he just bought at Rural King back together. Looks like somebody was having trouble seeing the two joints they were joining together. Rural King is about 50 minutes away is why he didn’t take it back.

I just looked at the calendar and realized we work this week and next and the machine shop is shut down for 2 weeks and I still have one more day of vacation to use in these 2 weeks :broccoli:

We can't carry our vacation over, use it or lose it.....................poll idea :anonymous:

The welder is acting up, I need to work on it. The wire will feed then stop, it's aggravating but I just haven't taken the time to fix it. Soon!

I've got 2 days left, and 8 hours of personal time off. The PTO I use in 2 hour blocks and give only 1 hour notice.
I get paid out if I don't use everything up.

I was kidding! I worked in a weld shop for a bit (not as a welder) and that was the running joke. That or, "You seem to be more of a grinder, not a welder..."

We can carry over 240 hours so I have about 2 and a half days to burn off before the end of the year or I lose them and that's simply not an option!

I'm planning on taking off the morning of the 24th (campus closes at noon) then the 28th and 29th. Then my wife reminded me that our son has his annual appointment on the 23rd so I'll have that off, too, but it'll be sick leave instead of vacation. Too bad I don't have anything to do during the week.

    Good luck with that

We had a bunk bed supposed to be delivered yesterday by Fed-Ex, about 7 pm the status changed from "out for delivery" to "scheduled delivery Dec. 7th". It showed up this morning about 8:30.

Mine is out through the post office, that's iffy as well

I ordered some parts and also a stock for a Mini-14, they were all supposed to be here today from two different places. Not now

    Well it was perfect timing!

I gave the welder a good blowout with the air hose and she’s welding better now. Had a bunch of grinding dust on the feeder rollers and the liner.
