Knock on wood I've had pretty good luck with deliveries showing up on time. Naturally, this means this one will be delayed now.

    Good luck with yours!

Morning Creed, I just got my membership renewal letter and noticed dues went up this year. And what’s this fine print about the lawyer retainer fee???
If it weren’t for the discounts I get when I flash this card at my local welding shop, I might have to reconsider renewing.

Thank you for your support, it goes a long way in feeding my kids helping those of us who don't know what we're doing pay our internet bill so we can learn how to do stuff watching videos and from other TW'ers :D

Fun time Monday! Customer brought this sun dial in with a missing pointer and wants us to make one. Boss drew him one up and 3D printed it for him to look at. Now I get to carve one out of aluminum.

It's stuff like this that makes me love working here, a challenge and one piece :D

Orrrr I just got the alert that it was delivered.

My son is probably more excited so he can play Call of Duty in there but the theater room will be back up and running soon!

Agree, but $$$.$$ I'd love to have one. Even looked at trying to make one since you can buy the main parts on Amazon for pretty cheap, but never have followed thought with it.

I am sure you've seen a carbon arc torch, but for those who haven't, it's a really old school tool for using an arc welder output to heat metal.

But if you haven't here is a lady who loves hers. At the 6 min mark, she even uses it to burn a block of Magnesium, as if she knew what I was looking for!

    That is cool.

A good friend of mine works in another machine shop, he told me his boss took an old Lincoln buzz box and put a piece of 3/8" round rod about 2' long in the ground and the stinger and heated it cherry red and bent a piece of plastic to 90 degrees with it. I've never tried it, I'd be scared to.

Just checked my front door camera. Since I can't figure out how to embed it, here's a link.

I'd rather the lamp not work right out of the gate than have it work for the next 6 months, go past the warranty period then fail. You were that close to the steps. You could have just set it down.

    Yes. Yes it does.

    Section 4, subsection 13.2 B, paragraph #2 clearly states:
"Heretofor the posting of Pronographic materials on the Forum is expressly forbidden and SHALL result in discipline. Furthermore, members referencing, sharing, or posting links to said pronographic materials shall be held accountable."

Interestingly, paragraph #7 references pronography as it relates to welding. Seems there is virtually no difference to welding pronography and standard pronography.
    So all y'all be careful!
