I do business with Dicount Tire but around here, last time I needed a repair for the same thing, a screw....uh yeah we can get to that in about 4-5 hours. I just put a plug in it myself. That plug held for the remaining life of the tire.

No punctures or tears?? That is very difficult to believe the way you get after it! I would think that you eat tires on the regular.
When I am due for new tires I'm gonna hit you up.

I break other things. My rear drive shaft is currently on it's way to Tom Woods. I had some really bad rotational vibrations coming back from Johnson Valley two weeks ago. I pulled the double cardon apart and it was way bad. The ball and socket had destroyed all but 7 of the needle bearings. The centering pin on the yoke side was mushroomed at the tip. The u-joints where in surprisingly good shape considering the cardon carnage. lol

I’m petty sure it says right on the tire that the kevlar is in the tread and not in the sidewall. I haven’t had stock tires for over a year so not 100% sure.

Self admitted tire geek so apologize for the nerdiness, but need to set the story straight on Kevlar. Kevlar is not used for strength nor does it make your tires bullet proof. Goodyear has used aramid for years going back to the gatorback days. They switched to kevlar which is a brand name for aramid for obvious marketing reasons and unfortunately you get people that associate the product with bullet proof vests and think they have tires that are more puncture resistant. Kevlar is not used as a body ply, but used as a zero degree cap. It runs radial from bead to bead over the steel belting. The reason they use aramid/kevlar is that it shrinks when it heats. This keeps your contact patch flat as the tire spins. Pirelli uses a similar idea, but uses nylon because it is cheaper and has a higher shrink rate. The trade off is that nylon gets stiff when cold and you may feel a flat spot for the first few miles until they heat up. Sorry again, but it drives me crazy when incorrect information gets repeated. Now you know the rest of the story.

What’s the story with BFG G-Force Comp-2 A/S Plus? (asking for a Friend)

When I first saw that tire I thought "The aquatred is back!" BFG makes great track tires, but this is an all season which throws that out the window. For the price it is a good tire, but for a little more I would look at a Continental Pro Contact TX, Pirelli P Zero All season plus, or the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S. If they don't need A/S which 90% of those driving spots cars do not need, then look at the non all season Comp-2.

The reason I say to look at non all season tires is that unless you plan on driving your car in snow or mud, you do not need an all season tire. Summer tires are designed for wet and dry and better in those conditions than a multi-purpose a/s tire. Everything in a tire is a compromise. To get the A/S rating you have to give something up and unless you plan on driving in those conditions you are giving something up like wet and dry traction for conditions that you will never operate in. Let's be honest, even if you get into those conditions an a/s tire isn't going to make a difference if you are taking your M3 to a mud bog.
