Well that will be super easy to find a trans for at least. The A341 is rare as hens teeth

 

Hey, everyone. Would anybody here happen to know the ideal depth in which an AFR sensor should be? As in, sticking in radially into the exhaust.

 

Like an aftermarket Wideband AFR sensor?

I don't think there's a depth you have to pick, I just had a hole drilled into the exhaust (before the 1st cat), got the bung welded on then threaded the sensor into the bung

Been a few years since I did it though but I don't recall there being any trick to picking a depth for the sensor...it just fits into place once the bung is on there.

 

It just has to be in the exhaust flow at least 24 inches back from any forced induction turbine. Shallow is better for laminar flow, but probably won't make enough difference to matter.

 

i'd try and center the tip in the exhaust tube but i don't know dick about shit

 

Don't forget to use tp on the bunghole

Yeah, Innovative sent a bung with the gauge I’m installing. But I refuse to weld it directly to my header y-pipe I just had ceramic coated. So I’m making my “bung”.

It just doesn’t seem to sit down far enough into the header. Was not sure if there’s an actual proper depth for these things or not. I’d assume tucked up away from direct fire is a good thing but too far could skew readings?
