Oh also.....in the order page, URD gives the option to get the maf calibrator. I’m assuming we don’t need that....

Hey everyone. I was redirected to this thread in hopes someone here can help.

I bought an Innovative gauge and they sent me a bung to weld onto the exhaust to install the sensor. Duh. Well, I just had my headers ceramic coated and there’s no way I’m going to be welding anything directly to them.

So I’m making my own “bung” and was wondering if there’s an optimal depth radially that the sensor needs to be sticking into the exhaust.

I assume that being tucked up a bit will help keep direct fire off of it, but too far in could skew readings? Perhaps I’m putting too much thought into this.

    Photos for reference.

You do not unless you don't have HPTuners or your pulley size is smaller than 2.7.

Is there enough thread engagement to sand off a little more of the bung?

Good luck with that Innovate gauge. They have been hit or miss on whether they work long term or not. I ended up junking mine because it kept giving me E8 codes.

Nope. In this case the MAF calibrator is for the chumps who don't properly tune their engines.

I could take another two threads off comfortably. I’ll do so and run with it.

    Thanks everyone

Oh, another thing. Do not remove any threads off at all. As long as the sensor is in the exhaust system and actively working you won't have any reading issues.

The issue is not gen specific. It's manufacturer specific, in this case Innovate, their customer service (lack thereof) and broken software causing the error codes.

This issue may not apply to their other AFR gauges, but it definitely does to their MTX-L AFR gauges.

Well, hopefully I’ll have better luck. Shame really how much they are.

    It’s the PSB-1.

    Fingers crossed.

Threw this in at lunch. Little piece of scrap aluminum I had sitting around. It pushes on my janky radiator support bracket so it's rather good. There's even a hole in it, in case I ever want to install something else (as an engineer, I usually will find a reason to fill an empty hole).

As soon as I get the URD unit it’s going in. I’m doing my hammer hangers and front diff regear on 1/5. From there rear diff. After that long tubes, cam gears and spark plugs in one shot. HP somewhere there in between.

Sure thing, no problem, ill post a pic later.

Also, i wanted to note that the shield that URD sells is not so much for the rain or snow, but rather to keep the MAF from being disturbed by turbulence at highway speeds. Its an issue with 6 speeds only from what i understand. If you have the URD intake installed and you're driving say 65mph or above on the hwy and you push in the clutch and dont immediately shift/release the clutch, the truck will die due to turbulence across the MAF.

I have noticed that it helps with the rain too but you have to make sure the top of it is angled back slightly so the water can run off of the shield and not drip right onto the filter itself. I can post a pic of how mine is set up. I was having issues with the rain causing the filter to get wet during rains and had to clock it slightly to correct it. It was causing sputtering under WOT, which i assumed was water going across the MAF

Hey dudes, I don't want to post stuff for sale here - can someone link me to the for sale thread that we should use? I think someone told me where that thread is a while back.

Here it is anyway, I have three of these belts to sell:

    - For 2.5-2.6 pulleys (69.56"): K060696HD will require slicing off 1 rib
