No but I laughed at every sign I saw for them. The one the said the largest Pasties in Michigan almost got me to pull over.

Very cool! That's an area I want to explore. I was supposed to go to KOAR this year and skipped for a few reasons. I want to spend a 3 day weekend up there next summer!

Oh there will be some mods all right
Bland meat and potato pockets, and every single place has the best one. Literally every single place you go says best pasty or world famous pasty.

We get frozen ones occasionally. I always have ketchup or something to dunk it in. :)

Bland? Not if they are made the right way,
seasoned roast beef coarse ground, diced potatoes and carrots in a nice flaky crust.
    I grew up on those.

That's the other problem everyone makes them to their own recipe.

I just must be unlucky in the places I've gotten them. I gave them a shot like four or five times from different places and every single time the flavor was lacking so badly that it was like eating paper until I put ketchup on them.

    I absolutely love pasties.

Best Pasties I’ve had in no order:
    - Joe’s Pasty shop in Ironwood
    - Pasty Corner in Iron River
    - Muldoons Pasties in Munising

I’ve never found a good Pasty place in WI.

They're actually pretty good, usually. It's meat and potatoes in a pastry crust. Kinda like a potpie.

I've never actually gone to a restaurant for a pasty. I wonder how much better they are than frozen?

I'll have to try one of the places in the UP if I make it there next year.

In the meantime, I might pick up some frozen ones for dinner this week. I see that a few local restaurants serve them. Maybe I'll try doordash or grubhub.
