I currently have BFG K02 265/75/16 with 2" all around and 1.25" spacers to prevent slight scrubbing. Don't get me wrong, it looks great, but I want to go a skoch higher. What do I need to do/ start thinking about to fit 33s? I'm already aware that I need AM UCA's for better alignment. Already handled ECGS bushing. (Still have the tool if anyone wants it)

What do I need to make this work without going overkill? Is there any way to avoid a CMC?

If I go to 3" inch lift, do I need diff or CB drop? Sway bar relocate? What wheel offset works on 3"?

Any input is appreciated, unless you feel like being a smartass.

    EDIT

I'm looking to have ZERO rubbing

Spacers don’t necessarily always help reduce rubbing, common misconception. I’m with Shellshock above. Function over form

I second this. I did this and I have no issues with clearance at any angle or compression with no lift and stock wheels. The only issue I could foresee having is a bit of fender liner rub if I went with a lower offset wheel. Plus they look great and isn't that all that truly matters?

    IMG_20190315_163808.jpg

The photo is pretty skewed now that I look at it, the ice was uneven in the driveway making the 255/85R16 look massive.

Are you able to achieve good alignment on stock UCA's?

Well, the spacers solved my scrubbing issues at near full articulation backing out of my driveway. But I see your point. In most cases that would not be the solution. I just wanted to provide context into my current setup.

I've seen folks here saying that they fit 285's without a cmc by putting the caster all the way forward, about 4 degrees of caster with aftermarket UCA's seems to do the trick for some people. (I have 265's)

Exactly what I was just going to add.

I have 33's (285/70r17) with no CMC. I have zero rubbing because I have aftermarket UCA's (Icon Delta) aligned with about 4-5 degrees of caster moving the wheel forward.

I'm running Icon Stage 4 with the RXT rear leaf pack. No diff drop, slight sway bar drop (comes with the Icon kit).
I'm actually thinking to go 295/70r17 next time around with tires, I have a ton of room with the 285's.
I'm dead set on not doing a CMC, I don't want to lose my mudflaps. Makes a big difference in saving my paint, I run gravel roads every weekend.

Honestly it's not hard to fit 33's... when I bought my truck it had a cheap Revtech spacer lift with stock UCA's and it barely rubbed with minimal trimming.

Alignment is spot on. No uneven tire wear and I track straight however Cooper ST Maxx are pretty well known to cause a drift to the right due to the tread pattern.

How long have you been running them? I like how lightweight the Coopers are.

Over 15,000km and two full summers. They're heavy as shit, just under 60lb a tire. If you want lightweight do not buy these tires.

None. Every truck is different, but I don't have any vibes.

They're only a pound heavier than the KO2s that I have now. And from what I've been able to find, those are the lighter of the 285s

More people have failed to fit 33s without rubbing and a CMC than those that have. A lot of it comes down to good alignments and proper wheel specs. Any one of those could put a damper on your plans so take these replies with a grain of salt. I've seen more people come back complaining that they are rubbing because they thought they received good advice. Also keep in mind that people have differing views on what is considered acceptable for rubbing and what is acceptable for onroad/offroad purposes.

Looking at my pro wheels they have lots of clearance at stock height w/265-75. I think the right wheel/tire setup is a big part of it.

There are MTs that are lighter than these Cooper ATs in E-load as well. Check out Yokohama G003 if you want a good tire, lightweight (in comparison) and aggressive.

I'm running 285/65r18 (33s) on an ICON stage 4, plus their RXT Leaf Pack at option 3 (highest). My rims are 18x9 with 0mm offset and 4.5in backspacing. I did a CMC in the front and VERY MINOR trimming of the plastic in tire well. No rubbing at all. I hope this helps. Feel free to as questions or message me.

Fuck it dude. If you gonna rub, might as well do some cutting for 35’s. Besides they look WAY better... BFF4B6AF-6944-48EB-A042-C62154D6CA37.jpg
