was she able to pin point where the water was coming from? or just too rattled? I was in deeper I think and didn't have that much water come in past the door seals. It got the carpet wet but not loads. So wondering if your Tub job was leaking a lot.

I thought you had not fully welded it though? Right?

Not trying to be a dick just curious.

Frank's tub as a tiny leak on the drive side at the very very top of the tub. It's not bad though. but i've never dunked it for an extended period of time either.

When I had a couple evap codes I replaced all the rubber hose, and the gas cap. The light still came on until I replaced the charcoal cannister. Just be ready to change more than expected.

Splurged on myself and got a new stereo! Changes the experience of driving to have my podcast/music come on automatically via bluetooth. Also Apple Carplay for longer drives (don't want to plug in for every trip to the store and destroy my phones battery).

    https://www.bestbuy.com/site/kenwoo...-media-receiver-black/6401750.p?skuId=6401750

Also put in a USB port connected to the stereo for Carplay over near my phone mount. Looks OEM if I may say so myself! It's solid and works flawlessly.

    Warning:
If you do this, use a dremel, not a drill. I got the impression with the drill that this plastic would want to crack/chip. Dremel tool that will nearly melt it's way through is the way to go. Then use a file to cut out the little notches around the hole to keep it from spinning.

Yep. Just ordered a new Spectra tank off of RockAuto. Have no desire to do this job twice, and I don't think I'm gonna get a vacuum seal with this crust.

In a similar boat here - been chasing P0440, 0446 and a minor fuel smell from around the filler neck area for almost a year. Have replaced fuel cap, roll over valve, charcoal canister, fuel filler neck, new fuel tank, all new gaskets, vsv under the hood. Driving me nuts.

You're scaring me! I'm about to replace the tank, gaskets and hoses. I'm gonna be pretty upset if that doesn't fix it. I don't know what else you would replace in your situation.

Ha - not my intent. Just letting you know you're not the only one currently in this battle. Will reach out if I come across a solution, please do the same.

Drop bracket lift and booger welds
Locations I have seen mostly are at door sills, the plugs in the back of the cab, the vents in the back of the cab (though they are much higher), and the seal for the steering shaft. I've accepted the fact that if you are sitting in water beyond your door sills for any period of time (besides wading through) you are likely getting water in the cab.
