Plenty of options much cheaper than factory leather. Katzkin is a popular one. Clazzio makes nice covers if you don’t want to deal with full removal of fabric.

My opinion leather is not worth the money. If you want to add leather, aftermarket is less. Save your money for other stuff.

Unless you buy an expensive luxury car, the leather on most is pleather and pretty crappy for what they charge.

I put Katzkins in my truck over a weekend off eBay sore fingers and $500 later it’s a perfect upgrade I’d do it again.

I never want leather in a vehicle again. Much prefer the more stable temps of fabric.

But if you want leather, aftermarket is a great choice.

I put Clazzios on mine. You should be able to get Katskinz NOT from the dealer for around 1000 - 1200 installed. I had an F150 Super Crew that I was quoted 1000 installed.

Only aesthetic mods so far Leer 180 cap & Clazzio covers on order.
The key to leather seats is REAL leather, NOT "Bonded Leather", which is pure manufactured crap.

Check out leatherseats.com. They have a great website, where you can literally put together your potential seats, and it shows what they will look like right there on the screen. Almost unlimited combinations, but this is if you want completely leather seats, and not just leather custom made covers. For me, as others have mentioned, although I like the look of leather, especially if you get some cool color combinations, the practicality of leather is pretty much nil. They are hot in the summer, and cold as ice in the winter. Like someone else also said, I much prefer the feel and constant temperature of fabric. Now, having said that, I DID buy custom seat COVERS from Cover King, and man, those are awesome! They fit like a glove, and after being on for a year and a half, with constant getting in and out of the truck, the wife having to "slide" down and out of the truck to get out, with all of that, they have NOT slid around, or moved at all. They look like they are factory seats! I highly recommend them if you decide to consider fabric. Here is a link to my install video:

The only leather on the OEM seats are the bolsters, but having said that I still like the premium package seats A LOT better than the standard cloth seats.
Besides there's a lot more that comes with the $3,000 premium package then just the upgraded seats.

I'd check the fine print on any "leather" seat covers you have installed as VERY few so called leather seats these days are actually 'full-hide' genuine leather like the below.
Most all are remnants of leather bonded together.

You talking about adding the entire premium package (includes leather) on a TRD edition for an extra 3k? Or just adding leather to the SR5?

Actually its the other way around sir. The "real" leather is where you actually sit, the bolsters and the back of the seats are synthetic.

If you can swing leather you get leather. Anyone saying otherwise is trying to convince themselves that they did the right thing.

If your only paying an extra 3K for the Premium Package on a TRD Sport or OFF-Road I would say without a doubt spend the extra $$. A lot more than just a leather seat upgrade.

Leather isn't a factory option on an SR5, unless its a dealer / port installed thing, leather is only available on TRD / Limited trims from factory, so you're looking at more than a $3k jump from a standard SR5. But you also get remote start, heated seats, JBL sound, auto headlights, etc. Its also not genuine leather for the inevitable people who will show up to mention that. Its covered under the 3 yr/36k mile warranty unless you buy / opt into extended coverage.

The “leather” is probably easier to clean but its not 3000 dollars easier. Jmho
