I just got a eufy doorbell and they also sell cameras 2k or 1080. No subscriptions and seems well funded/supported. Anker is parent company and they say Sony chips in cams. They look a little like Arlos which they might be but that could be good thing from quality perspective.

another off brand that isn’t worthless Yi makes some decent stuff cheap and they have low cost storage options.

It’s a crapshoot to capture footage as it may not be right angle and who knows if cops can really do much with it legally unless they find them with the matching goods. But visibility of camera may deter some. I wonder when they’re just gonna start stealing all these wireless cameras , that would be super annoying.

I’ve been debating putting security plate on our Prius. Also good skid protection from driving over speed bumps.

I thought about that for my GTI. It's a thing already manufactured. Not just speed bumps, but for road debris.

 

My nephew turned 16 in October. Couple family members are looking to get him something. Anyone see a decent commuter car, or a truck, out there give me a shout. Price range is unspecified. But I'd guess 5 or 6 grand range. I haven't found out what others are willing to contribute so the 5 or 6 number is a SWAG.

 

I got a low rider civic. I think the high school kids still like fast and furious stuff. Only its not fast, nor furious. But its low and slow. And it looks good

 

Civics come in slow, medium, and fast. They are great cars.

 

And the wifey wants a new vehicle. She was going to wait until we moved, but we're flush with cash, and the Audi is only getting older. Though very low mileage for a 2012. Thinking 4Runner for her.
