Let's See Your Dogs!!

Took the dogs on a 6 mile loop hike yesterday. Lab was tired last night, the shepherd not so much.

 

My Brown Lab had a red bump on his paw, he would lick at it, and it ended up being Histiocytoma.
My Vet told me to wait it out, and eventually it went down and disappeared. II believe its a type of allergy.

 

Thank you for that. Called my vet and he said something similar. Scheduled an appointment for later this week but may cancel after another call. Bumps have gotten much smaller and she's bringing me sticks again to play. Between throwing the football with my son and the stick with her, I'm bout wore out today.

Edit: And ouch above on that pic. Hope the pup is much better now. That looks very similar to what is/was between Jade's toes - front paws.

 

When I first noticed on my boy, I had done the same thing, scheduled a vet visit, ect... Then I spoke to my gf, who used to work as a vet tech in college, and it took her about 5 seconds to diagnose, and told me to cancel, and just wait it out about a month, maybe put some Neosporin on it, to fend off infection, and then my Vet told me the same exact thing, and said it is super common with Labs, and most likely caused by an allergy flare up. It looked way scarier than the diagnosis, and it honestly took about 4-6 weeks to totally disappear, but now I know for the future. GOOD LUCK

we had to put our dog down on July 3rd and didn't think my fiancee would want another one for a long time, she took it hard. Well we are getting this little girl in a few weeks and she can't wait. a little chihuahua, not my first pick in dogs but if makes her happy

 

When I raised the Guide Dog puppy, she came with an "owner's manual" which said it's easier to prevent a bad habit than to correct one. Good luck with her.

 

Annie has killed almost a dozen squirrels, numerous moles and other rodents, baby birds, a rabbit, half ate a turtle, chased possum's, and would chase anything that ran from her. It was her yard and she protected it. She gave up when she turned 13 and I think it hurt too much to chase them anymore.

I'm not really sure how to say this nicely but this is kinda why adoption is so hard. When I adopted my first Labrador, he was full of bad habits. None was overcomable but his life sucked for a while as we worked on his issues. Fortunately, none was a serious behavior problem. That's another thing you might not find out from the shelter-they might not see it but hopefully, you find out about that before you decide it's OK to be off leash

 

My six year old boy, and my 12 week old boy.. love my Labs... Watching them "fight" brings a smile to this old dudes face, even in this crazy time.. 2 dogs was a good call, wish I had done it sooner.

My wife has been begging for a puppy for the last few months. Decided this could be her Christmas present since she got me the Taco.

10 weeks old.

 

Thanks I’ve been working with her and working with her and working some more with her.
I got her to heal pretty well all the way around the block after work today.
Usually she’s yanking my arm out of the socket. Lol
Compared to how she was almost a year ago, she has come a long way.
Manners and Reactivity class/Basic Manners Class/Scent classes/Agility Classes
I’m very proud of her!!

 

Not obnoxious at all. I think we all believe ours are the bestest-and we're all right. I don't know that I'll own anything but labs. Riley's my second. I just need a vanilla to complete the triad
