    I have one, gets used around the shop very rarely
    More of an old school setup

    if u ran it with an onboard compressor like a twin arb you could run air tools on the trail.
    Edit: (re read your post realized i didnt really answer your question) its for when u cant get a compressor/ airline to wherever you would need compressed air.
    Like if u had a flat on the other side of the parking lot at work
