In my opinion, COVID is turning a lot of normally nice people into douchebags; There was this guy at the Jamison PetValu with two Springer Spaniels; I asked they if they were friendly, and he said “Yes, but he doesn’t want people petting them right now.”

One of these supposedly “friendly” dogs sensed its owner’s hostility and barked at me almost continuously until I left the store with my purchase

 

Our old townhouse in Furlong; The first place my parents ever bought that had dual-zone central air!

 

Also the first house my parents ever bought that had a wall oven (as opposed to a range), and granite countertops in the kitchen! Our house now not only has granite counters in the kitchen, but in both upstairs bathrooms!

 

Most of the staff at the shop was out hunting, so I’m not getting my $20 Toro snowblower back until tomorrow; Updates to come!

 

Ha ha! Luckily, I have to deal with a lot of BS in SoCal -- but not snow! ;-)

 

I remember my grandma's kitchen, she had a wall oven plus a range. She was such a good cook too, everything she made was always good.

 

Grandmas always are; There’s a picture of the 1950s GE wall oven at my personal trainer’s house in this thread somewhere...

 

Nice! I can't remember what brand her wall oven was, she had one of those old refrigerators too where you pulled that slot machine arm down to open and that thing was always ice cold.

 

They just don’t build things to last anymore!

 

Yeah unfortunately things today are pretty much built to only last thru the warranty period.

Basically, guaranteed future customers, lol. I remember back in the 80's the CEO of Mercedes said his cars were too durable and lasted too long so they started using low quality parts, their reliability fell off a cliff.

 

Yeah, Mercedes started going downhill after about 1995; They’re still really safe cars though...

 

When l was in high school one of my teachers had an old mercedes diesel that was probably already 10 or 15 years old and had a couple hundred thousand miles, it was a tank.

I saw this in my 20s but it's hilarious. I refer to my orange tabby Ozzy as a Catdog since he acts like a dog at times

 

I think Lube from the Greaser Dogs was actually a pretty good guy; Rancid Rabbit was a douchebag!
