    Use a Tactrix cable or one equivalent. The cheap ones aren't worth the risk.

    i am all setup to due update i just dont get how i chose the corec cuw file for my truck (04a60)... readed the instructions thread 4-5 times but i just dont get this part... i know im just not seing something need a litle help.. for the rest great post and impecable instructions thumbs up!!

    This thread is a great resource. Updated my 2020 to the latest TSB and it’s a remarkable difference. Really happy with how the truck drives now.

    I know we have at least a few members around who are tweaking the base OV tunes. Anyone have a good one available for 04B81 ECU?

    Given that I will not even be taking delivery of my 2021 Tacoma until next week, I have no TSB’s to install. However, I want to use tech stream to customize the features in my new truck (chimes, locks, delays, etc.). Will this version of tech stream and a Tactrix cable work on my 2021 to customize it? I have seen no mention of use on a 2021 in this thread.

    The Tactrix will work, but I believe that you need a newer version of TS? Give V14 a shot and let us know. I will link up the V15 info for you.

    Many thanks for the help, but I am not sure of what you mean by general instructions for V15. What I have done, is download the V14 zip file that you had available. I have not yet taken delivery of my 2021 Tacoma and have yet to order the Tactrix cable, so I guess I am in a holding pattern at this point until delivery day. At this point, I take it that your advice is to try to run V14 first and then post my results, correct?

    You're welcome.

    If you go back to where that was quoted from, you will see both posts. They have some TS background info and V15 download and installation stuff. Getting V15 functional is different than V14. You have to create an account at the MHHauto forum and request an activation key.

    Yes. Full access is there for the 2020 Tacos. Unfortunately, 2020 T4Rs need a later version though.

    thanks to ALL involved, for bringing this to the masses. just updated my ecu to 04b33, from 04b31, reset all dtc's and learning values, changed some settings for turn signal, and seat warnings. i was stressing over nothing. truck is idling now, will test drive later. thank you again! now bring on the 2.0 with maps for 04b33, or vf tunes for the same. Ski
