Well I'm an old man so it FEELS like it's scooting to me

 

Spent over an hour vacuuming out the inside of the slug yesterday. Had been 8 months ish or so since last interior cleaning. Lots of camping trips, and up north runs with the dog too. Kind of curious how I wasnt dying allergy-wise anytime I drove.


Next will be exterior, will spray out under the frame too. Front brakes dirty as hell squeaking lolol

Cool. Sounds like 4.30's and 32's might be a pretty decent combo then, perhaps a little on the overgeared side even. Thanks for the datapoint.

 

shit scared me the first few times climbing mountains loaded down for camping at 4kish rpms, till I read on the powerband for the 4 cyls lol.

Quite the change from the low torque in the v8 dodge prior. Love letting the lil engine eat tho, especially with my exhaust sound

 

Driving gets a whole lot more fun once you no longer fear letting the engine rev. I lost that fear when I was driving a 2-ton truck full of food with a small block chevy, in granny low on a sm465, with the rear axle in low gear. Just put the pedal down and let it walk up the hill. It didn't have a tach, so i dunno how fast it was spinning, but it was definitely up there.

I mean sure, it was only 20 years old with 30k miles and it burnt a quart every 100 miles, but whatever

 

Even with the V6, I put my foot into it if it wants to ride there. Revs aren't scary if it decreases the total load.

 

I didnt install it. No lean at all with my 2.7.

 

For sure. Towing with the nissan i'll leave it in 4th or 5th all day, no worries. I might put it in 6 if i'm coasting downhill, but thats just cuz its quieter.

 

I'm working on one of our older elementary schools right now, it's so odd. It's from the 70s when open concept was a huge thing. There's no "rooms" really, just weird dividers and such

 

The HG issue made the fear even worse, but im getting used to the higher rpms for sure


My dodge had another quart added to it every 2-3 weeks, but still ran like a champ. Jut look at is as the vehicle is getting new fluids "regularly"

 

Heh, thats how my elementary was in the 90s. We had these big cabinets that were combo storage/blackboard/divider, and then they just hung overhead projector screens from the ceilings. We could look around and see all the other classes going on.


No idea how someone thought it was a good idea.

In theory, at least to my understanding, lessening the load on the engine by running it at a higher rpm should be easier on the HG. I think.

I haven't taken mine on any long trips since I did my very first HG install ever Fingers crossed.

If I had an oil burning heater I'd swing by the autozone in the hood after hours. There'd be 20+ gallon jugs left outside their bay door every single night

 

His semis keep his containers pretty full I think
