It shouldn’t matter too much. I had mine done with my leer shell on swing out. Not ideal but most relocates are all outside of the bed.

Yeah would be nice buddy works for a power company and has access to crane trucks so lifting it would be too bad. Was also gonna do hangers too so thats another reason.

Nice all of that shouldn’t be an issue X1 or not. I have a set of archive and BAMF but leaning towards Archive. Mainly waiting I see what leaf pack I’ll need. Since it’s all weight driven I want to see how much the X1 changes the things then I’ll add the hangars and new leafs.

If it helps I have started pinging the SP Facebook Page with questions, as an alternate path to asking the company directly given how busy they are ATM. Some really useful responses thus far.

Not an official page from the company, more like this forum topic with owners and future owners sharing questions answers and experiences. Started by John from Roaming Lost. Search “Super Pacific USA Owners” on FB.

it has its uses but the only benefit now is seeing some folks that are not on TW and already have. I also posted up in Expedition Portal as there is a thread there as well.

Damn. You have expensive tastes in hotels, must be a lot classier than me. Texas to Washington for me was two 17hr driving days and a Motel 6.

At this point should make a FAQ or common questions page. I am sure they get the same questions over and over. I am still really interested in the cab to X1 height and where it lines up (how far forward the x1 is on the cab). Outside of that Spencer and Cindy have been great (although a bit delayed now) with eventually getting answers). They are super focused on getting the backed-up orders going that anything new is not a priority.

I would be so down to be a remote install crew along with other stuff if that was something we started up with. =)

Spoke with Cindy this morning, as I asked for an update. She said to expect to hear from her about scheduling my install next week, waiting on powder coat. She’s hoping to install next week but may be the week of the 21st.
She said that some people from California have requested to push back their install dates due to COVID travel restrictions. I can’t imagine that they would move anyone up in the que because of that but maybe it will give them some buffer room to catch up a bit, or at least a day off to refresh.

hmmm I wonder who that is... The next Nor Cal installs at least in this group were me, @frenchee, @blackmist27, and maybe some unknown orders. If someone wants to bail not ideal but I would rally. I have an essential item to pick up ya know.

2nd Gen SB specifically. Only 1 so far that I was aware of but have not received any feedback. Height would be a good start then need to know how far forward.

So the clearance on the 3rd gen from the highest roof point to bottom of the tent overhang is 1.5", with the bed platform being 6.125 that puts you have 7.625 (or 7 5/8") over the highest point of your cab.

The 2nd gen bed is 1" lower than the 3rd gen, so you are looking at .5" over the height point, I believe (unless something has changed with the 2nd gen revision).

You can calculate how far forward based on the outside dimension - the outside length is 107", so that would mean your platform is roughly 46.5" past your 60.5" bed length.

Sounds like some of you may need an @Anderson Bullet antenna cover... (replaces the 2nd & 3rd gen Shark Fin with a much slimmer cover).
