Have you posted a picture yet? Looking at these tires would love to see how they look in this size.

I got my Yokohama Geolanders installed on Thursday and dialed the alignment in on Friday. I absolutely love these tires in this size! Even had a chance to test them out this weekend on some trails and they did not disappoint.

Love the stealth6s, super underrated wheel imo. Huge fan of the g003s, I also run them in the same size and they 10/10 would recommend to anyone

I'm going to be running this size on my Ray10's. I was pretty set on the Nitto RG's but no I'm interested in these g003's too, they look just as aggressive if not more. Are they a MT or AT? I'm currently running K02's and definitely not going with them again.

They are a MT. I was originally going to run a ridge grappler. The G003 is actually lighter than the Ridge Grappler at 64pounds vs 66 for the nittos

Im in a 2nd gen, but this is the most active thread for this tire size so i lurk here lol

Ive been debating between 75 or 70's
Wheels were going to be Ray10's but i might go the method 701's (for availability and to be a little different). The wheels specs seem to line up similarly (they trade some offset for backspacing iirc, but they should put the tire in roughly the same spot)

My truck feels like a dog with E-rated KO2's in 265/75/16, my work truck ('15 pre runner) on "P rated" 245's feels like a race car in comparison lol

So i may just get the 70's until i can afford to re-gear :pout:

Thank you for telling me, I didn't know this and stressed and drove about w/o knowing this wisdom.
@TWTaco agreed to give us an OV Tune, but got so busy with my old mom / holidays and trying to meet year end targets at work, and unable to go see him.

    Definately regear when possible.
I put 4.30s,a TruTrac, CAI, and short shifter on my 6 speed with 265/75/16 AT3 4S and its just as fun to drive as my old 3000gt.
I have suched mixed feelings about putting 285/75/17s on right now.
They will look so good but I know most of that sportiness will be gone.
    :annoyed:

I’ve been reading here (and other threads around TW) that I “might” be able to fit 285/75/16s on BR6 -12 offsets without rubbing the cab mount if I can get a good alignment with planned SPC uppers. I had planned on ST Maxx in 255/85/16 but can save about $200 if I got 285/75s.
Anyone have luck with a similar set up that I might have missed in my searches? Also have a 3” lift up front.

This thread is dedicated to 285/75R17s not 16s. So info here won’t be as good as these are a bit bigger and require cutting.

Well I’m in the wrong spot and will see myself out :bikewheelie:

I should have unfollowed this this thread when I bought 16s but the 285/7017s do look good!

Looks great. That's the size I was going to go with if I went with a lift but so far I'm on OEM suspension.

Seems this post has died and gets revived periodically so there’s a chance I won’t get any feedback.

Is the jump in tire size really that noticeable power wise? I’m about to pull the trigger on a 3rd gen and 285/75/17 is where I want to be.

I’m assuming most have an automatic transmission. I’m curious if that’s a culprit. I currently have 285/75/17 on my 1st gen. And it’s worn out. The truck and the motor. It’s a 4cyl 2.7 too. But it pulls them fine and gets down the road just as it should. So I’m having a hard time wrapping my head around why y’all are seeing such a difference in power when making the jump. I guess me being able to manipulate it and shifting gears on my own (manual) really does make a good bit of difference?

pretty sure the manual 3rd gens have a more favorable gear ratio than the Automatics. So a change to 285/75/17s wont be as detrimental to you as it would to a standard automatic. That being said, i did notice a difference in my trucks shifting/ acceleration after upsizing my tires.
