Anyone have a good source for the gaskets? They don't have them on Amazon, and the online places all seem to have shipping for like $9 which is a little steep.

I see the gaskets from $1.50 to $2.50 but the shipping is always three times that. If you want to make the shipping worth while add some other gaskets (oil, diff front and rear, transfer case), or add a trans plug to have on hand. You could also hit up your local Toyota dealer and see if they carry them drop by and pick it up then you will not have to pay shipping.

Crazy how small and light the package, yet insane shipping price. I'll definitely give the dealer a call, if not, I like the idea of just getting other gaskets etc. Thanks!

Yes it is!! Those Taco trans gaskets were hard for me to find. Unfortunately there are not too many options and those online options can charge what they want. Its like stick em in an envelope with a stamp. They weigh nothing.

Have you guys tried ebay? Usually can find bundles or kits at good price with free shipping. Lots of Toyota dealers sell on ebay

    Not yet, but I will!

Edit: checked and they were all about the same price shipped as the other places.

Weird that the sets on Amazon are MT. They are so inexpensive and they work. The sellers could do a huge volume if they just added the AT washers and left out the two MT Washers. Heck I bought 3 sets!

No additive needed. LSD is simulated via brakes and throttle... There are no friction discs or the like that would require LSD additive or special diff fluid.

I may be a little late in the game for you, but I did my 2018 SR5 2wd yesterday and it took just over 3 quarts.
    I used Mobil 1 Synthetic 75w90.
