This is the main one I've seen I think - https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/falken-wildpeak-at3w-compound-change-re-winter-performance.1224049/ - along with the referenced youtube reviewer.

Luckily I'm in no rush so I can see how they shake out and, if the rumor is false, it will put them back near the top of my choices for when the time comes.

Let us know how they do over the winter!

Will do. I usually get into some non plowed country roads and plenty of highway miles as well. I’ll see how they do

What ever the new style was for 2016. They were great and took a beating. Even in load range C they held up to crawling in Montana, Colorado, Utah, Wyoming, Sodak, and the north country. My first trip to Montana I took a chunk out of a sidewall in shale, they lasted 4yrs like that.

Same as my daily, if I can call it that since I don’t go anywhere anymore. Lol

My brother had a 2014 6MT GTI back in the day. Sweet ride. Gotta be the single best daily driver out there (other than the 2017 6MT Tacoma TRD Pro haha)

He's eyeing up the MK8 Golf R for when it's released in a couple years. I will surely borrow it if he does.

I considered the R for a hot minute. While the extra power and AWD was nice, you could really feel the extra weight. The chassis wasn’t nearly as lively. The active LSD system really eliminates understeer with the GTI, and when my warranty is up the gloves come off.

I’m usually 20+ mpg during the summer with mine. Winter fuel and cold drops it a couple mpg

Mine has been absolute garbage lately. I do let it warm up about 5 mins in the mornings but right now I have about 120 miles on a half tank.:bananadead: I only drive about 10 miles a day and threw city so that doesn't help one bit.

Anyone work in plumbing that can tell me why its so hard to find a 5" diameter PVC? Also would anyone be interested in making a Road shower like roof top hot water shower? I am trying to make one and can only find 5" in a 20 ft section and I only need 5 ft. Looking to split the cost of the 20ft

Not a plumber but work with piping systems all the time - reason is 5" is an extremely odd size and you'd NEVER see it in any kind of commercial or industrial applications( 4" or 6" only). Didn't even know it was an actual pipe size until a few years ago. Similarly, 2.5" is available but usually skipped over as well.

I'm going to start to get this quoted out at various shops, just wanted to see what people here think is a reasonable price to have this done so I don't drastically over pay.

How much should I expect to be paying to have a tonneau cover installed? Just for the labor, have the truck, have the cover.

There's quite a bit of variation in tonneau covers. Some are pretty easy, some can be more complex. For a generic, basic tonneau cover, I can't see there being more than an hour of labor, if that. Usually you just clamp the rails to the sides, attach the top, and unroll it.

If you already have the cover, have you looked at the instructions to see if it is something you can tackle yourself and save a bit of $$?

It's a soft cover (Truxedo x15 Pro), first shop quoted me $200-$400 for install. Seems a bit pricey to me but waiting to get something else to compare it against.

And I may try to install it myself, don't have the tools for it so that would probably be the first step.
