    Something like an SV650 would be a good starter bike.
    Someone told me your starter bike should not be your dream bike. It should be something you don’t mind dropping because you’re going to drop it.
    Also a 600 sport bike is stupid stupid fast.
    My 1st bike was a 1995 Yamaha YZF 600. It’s “slow” by today’s standards. It’s listed 0-60 is 3.4 seconds. Way too fast for a beginner bike. That thing just wanted to go fast. My vstrom is totally cool going 75.
