Kansas City Tacoma Crew - 816/913

Here's one, went in for my last free oil change yesterday and while the dealership had no problem using the access door in my skid plate to do the oil change, they broke all the button head screws that hold it on and replaced it with big ass hex head bolts so now I have protrusions on the front of my truck that I'll need to replace.

Call the dealership about it since they didn't bother to tell me they had done it and they were pretty cool today, they said if I brought the receipt in for the new bolts they would pay for it so that's pretty good

 

Hopefully they didnt cross thread and strip out the the holes with their random shop bolts

 

Like I needed something else to worry about. Lol

but the service manager did assured me that the bolts they put in would hold up to any amount of abuse so if they ruin the thread holes I'll just leave their bolts in and when they can't get them out next time I'll point out that hey man, you told me these things were indestructible

 

Malicious is my favorite flavor of compliance.

unfortunately or fortunately no pics were taken of that incident because the focus was on recovery to avoid total sinkage

 

I never remember to take pics of anything so I'm right with ya. I need an "official documentary specialist"

I’m good at taking pictures of other people in those situations while conveniently “forgetting” when I get myself into them.

 

If your situation wasn't documented, did it really happen?

 

problem was the front of the group was not practicing good trail etiquette and they had all taken off not bothering to check their rearview mirrors to see if the next guy was in sight.

The Sasquatch package with the manual won't even be available until summer of 2022. Ford is trying to quietly announce all their production delays and all the motor magazines are picking it up and shouting it to the heavens
