Justin has been a great help, but this was done on a tune from scratch by PRE.

 

From Scratch - from the very beginning, especially without utilizing or relying on any previous work for assistance.

 

I'm going to call BS on that. Someone's being misleading..Them to you, or you to me and the public.

I've got $1000 to back up my statement.

Open up "their" tune in VCM Editor. Then press "Ctrl + L" and screenshot what comes up. Post that here.

That'll tell everyone who's tune was used. And if it was REALLY done "from scratch".

I'd love to review screenshots while sipping hot chocolate but frankly I have better stuff to be doing. If you want to take the position that a well established world record holding shop is stealing your work you can take it up with them personally.

 

I'll back off.. Despite my frustration and disappointment you shared my work with them, I do respect your time.

While I don't doubt their ability to dial your rig in. I do believe some of my work made it into their "from scratch" tune and frankly the things they changed in their first revision would suggest that.

After the hours of time I've spent helping you and teaching you, I feel cheated. Rightfully so or not. This is now the 3rd time my work has made it's way into the hands of other for profit tuners from this forum alone (that I know about).

 

Like I told you in PM, they never touched or saw your file. It was on my laptop only, which was in my hands the entire day. You know already that HPtuners won't let you download anything but the base vehicle file when reading.

The tuner was very transparent about everything, and we went over the whole process in detail from start to end when it was done. Thanks to everything you taught me I was able to ask appropriate questions and understood the majority of it. (ok maybe like 70%)

 

The inconsistency here?

 

Not a Freudian slip, I meant offered. As in I told them we had already been working on the tune, but they didn't care to see it.

If you're concerned about your intellectual property you should make that clear from the beginning. I never heard a lick about about not sharing anything and I thought we were all on the same page here. I have nothing to hide, and no reasoning to protect them. Unfortunately you're wrong in this case, I think it's best that we end this here.

The proof is posted above for you to interpret however you would like. We're all just anonymous talking heads on the internet anyway. There's no blood on my hands because there was no backstabbing that I was involved in. Does it really make sense that my tuner spent 5hrs copy pasting data?
