Totally agree. I’m a big fan of mechanical locking systems.

I'd like to pick up the G3C, since I've had a good experience with the G2C.
I haven't had any issues with my finish though, luck of the draw I suppose.

Yea the G3c seems a little better on quality control.

Anyone thinking about a Glock 19, I highly recommend shooting a Walther PPQ in 9mm. Much better ergonomics & trigger, and it's MSRP is at least $100 less than the Glock. Free repairs for life for the original owner!

You also get the "James Bond" cool factor by owning a Walther. :bananadance::broccoli::taco::dancingbacon:

I haven't held or shot a PPQ, I do have a Walther .22 pistol and it is sweet. I've had 3 Glocks over the years, they are ok but I sold them all. Didn't like the feel of the grips in my hand.

Don't get me wrong, there's nothing wrong with a Glock, they make so many different guns because we can't all be happy with the same thing

I fired a friend’s Walther PPS 9mm and liked it, but thought it had a lot of recoil due its light weight...

IMO - The PPQ (9mm) has the best out of the box trigger for any striker fired pistol. HK VP9 is a close second.

Something in the "compact" range would be ideal for "all-around" home defense, target shooting, CC, etc. Not going to be a competition pistol, but they shoot like full size at the range - Glock 19, CZ P-10C, S&W M&P 2.0 Compact, Walther PPQ M2, Sig P320/P320X, HK VP9 for striker fire. CZ P-01 and P-07 are great options if you want hammer fire.

The M&P 2.0 and CZ P10C get a lot of praise on YouTube.

My definition of multipurpose would include one that didn't make me cry for loss if I had to toss it in the river. My SCCY for a little over $200.00 fits the bill perfectly :anonymous:

No experience with them and I don't know anyone that owns one. They make 1911's. Probably not the best option for you.
