The one thing I'm worried about, if my truck is NOT prewired, is hardwiring the cruise control directly into the ECU...

I'm not 100% sure about your year, but for the 2013, it's behind the glove box

And how does one know where to hook it up on the ECU? I'm afraid of doing it wrong and frying the electrical system in my truck...

You are on two threads about this, the other thread has a link to the Rostra instructions that include the information

    Found it!

    http://www.rostra.com/manuals/250-1836_Form5188F.pdf

I guess the only thing I'm having comprehending is what wire I need to run to the ECU, because I can't find it on the other guy's thread and I don't think I have it...

Operation: Cruise Control is NOT going to be a bust, but if my truck ends up not being prewired, it is going to be put off until spring; I am only doing this "cruise control biopsy" now because my truck really needs a tire rotation and my mechanic has the necessary screwdriver to remove the driver's airbag...

If my truck is NOT prewired for cruise control, it is still possible to go directly into the ECU without having spend thousands of dollars on a new wiring harness, but it requires partial disassembly of the dashboard and removal of the steering column casing; I have removed the steering column casing (and replaced it because it got kinda effed up when I had the intermittent wipers installed), and it is a pain in the ass! Not quite as big of a pain in the ass as removing the entire head unit from the dashboard, and definitely not as big of a pain in the ass as getting the evaporator core replaced, but still a major pain in the ass! If the truck is not prewired, I will also need to acquire one more component to wire it to the ECU, which I don't have and don't feel like spending money on right now. However, rest assured that my truck will likely have cruise control before the 2021 car show season!

I had my prescriptions set up through CVS where l would get a text notification saying it was ready and it would include a link where l could enter my info, pay, and it would be mailed to me in a day or two. Was super convenient and easy, since my phone got hacked and l got a new number l called and asked them to simply change my number in their system and keep everything as it was. One would think this is not a difficult task but have had to call the pharmacy 3 different times and finally today they made me call the National division where l spent more than an hour and still don't think they have it right yet.

It should show as downloaded at the bottom of your screen (if you are on a computer). Not sure what happens on a phone.

The connector at the spiral cable (S8), what wires are in it?
Mine had one, for the horn. I had to add wires for everything else.

Actually, it’s not the technology’s fault...

Technology has issues when you put inept bureaucrats in charge of it!

Very true, it's mind boggling to me that they have no plan in place for someone to change their phone number. You would think that it's a common occurrence, spoke with 3 different people at the National division today.

I've had the same phone number since, like, 2007...?

Thats awesome, hang onto it if you can! I had my old cell number for close to 20 years, really hated to give it up.
