Yeah I wouldn’t recommend someone go out and buy a high speed buffer that’s never used one before. The one I posted is user friendly and has adjustable speeds for beginners.

Also doubles as a 6” DA RO sander.

I was working an event with Meguire’s there and the guy was trying to sell their kits. I said to him isn’t that a PC sander/buffer in your kit that’s relabeled? He said it sure is. Told him I’d buy the PC version for $80 less. Lol

Grew up using the high speed buffers and I sure as shit ain't gonna change. Doing a wash, clay, buff, wax job in a day is enough work as it is, may as well make it easier.

Yeah I’ve used mine enough to be able to speed it up and not burn the paint. After all this is a real PC and not that crap B&D puts out as PC now. Kinda sad such a good brand went to hell.

I fixed buffers and vacuums for 30 years for side money. Black and Decker gave me one for a Christmas present one year. They work great

Feel like a few have gone that way. Ryobi used to make some good stuff too. My pops has some old Craftsman tools & equipment that have never failed in the 20+ years of ownership. But yeah, I love the buffers. I'll check which one I use, but it's nothing special. When i took all the badges off the truck, i went back over all of it with the buffer to bring it back to spec

B&D buffers were real bad about catching fire if you use a wool pad. The Dewalts went brushless and really helped with that problem

You know I had one of the old 7.2v cordless drills they used to make. Everyone at the cabinet shop laughed at me using it in a commercial environment but that little thing held its own. Still out in the shop somewhere. No clue where the charger is for it. Still works though.

Yeah I remember way back there they (Ryobi) had a 1/8 sheet sander. I loved using that thing and it worked great.

Someone let me keep an M18 Fuel Hammerdrill that had a very sticky chuck and they said it "wasn't working that well". Replaced chuck with one I had lying around along with the bad chuck screw and....ta da
