    I updated the first post with some performance data I’ve been recording on some rural asphalt roads. Don’t take it as the Bible. I’ll go to the drag strip whenever it opens up again and update the info with hard numbers. A buddy of mine with a Buick Regal GS challenged me. We have the exact same 308HP, but he is a lot more aerodynamic. Should be a fun race. He should win, but I’ve been practicing my launches lol.

    Also on the docket the last few weeks has been finding a way to make the SC louder. I’ve made some progress and have a prototype sound tube set up.

    I used a 2015 Ford Mustang sound pipe and have been playing with cutting it up to fit the Tacoma. I’ve got it laid out almost how I want. It is currently increasing the whine by maybe 5%
    I’m losing a lot of sound due to too small a hose at the intake. I need to get a proper sized port added to the intake for this to really work. I just have it teed into the valve cover vent hose for the proof of concept right now. I’ll keep working on it on and off for awhile. I have some special heat shrink clamps that will replace all the ugly metal clamps when I’m done:)

    I removed the charcoal filter from the TRD airbox. I also installed the URD Y pipe and removed the brass restrictor from the bypass actuator. Those things combined feel fantastic!

    Me too. Magnuson made sure to share with me it will be nothing like the supercharger I had on my 17 Tundra. They went over this several times before they would sell it to me! Hahaha... :notsure::rofl:. I just let them know that I completely understand that they are clearly two different animals.

    Update... I was just told they are waiting on software and it could take 1 to 5 days... make sure you account for this. After talking with Magnuson the SW is provided via a 3rd party which is why it may take up to 5 days to ID the vehicle and assign a sw key. I get it. I’ve worked in tech and sw for years. Just wanted to level set expectations for everyone. I’ll keep you posted. I’m hoping it gets done earlier than later.

    Mine sat at Kendall of Bend the entire first day it was there but by the second day around 11am they had started. I dropped it off on a Tuesday morning and they were done Thursday at 1:30pm but they waited until about 3:30pm to call me. I know all of the specifics because of the Toyota app. You can see if the hood is open or not and when the last time it was parked.

    Ok... this sounds like I’m watching Fletch (yes I’m aging myself)... I’ll bite, where is the brass restrictor and bypass actuator? I too would like a little more performance and whine... I miss the whine of the 5.7 Mag SC RIP!

    To bring everyone up to speed I had a SC Tundra that I hired a “shuttle service” to move while I was fly fishing on the Deschutes... here are the before and after pics. The shuttle driver drove through (yes through) a tree at 80mph, moving the truck from point A to B.
