    Hunting around here is on the decline . Season too long ,poor management of herd by the state . My area is full of brown and down hunters or people hunting and trespassing with ATVs . People shooting deer and not tagging them .The COVID has all the NYC people here full time and screwing things up ,it’s a mess .I was supposed to hunt mostly Pennsylvania this year but COVID through a wrench in that plan . Maybe next year.

    Ya, maybe one of the reasons there are no deer in Maine, I have friends in Maine, (Caribou) love the state & get up there every so often, but the deer harvest is unreal, I think last year there were less that 30 k deer taken, I am sure the heavy snow in the north may have a lot to do with it, or maybe no hunters, or bad management, I really don't know the problem. but I do think if they shorten the season & bucks only, in a few short years the harvest would triple or a least double (although I am not sure of the laws there)

    Howdy y'all, I need some thoughts or input. I've been going to my hunting lease quite regularly. I got trail cam pics pre season of Whitetail, Hog, Texas BlackBuck, Racoons, Porcupine, Rabbits. The last time I saw a sign of any deer was 1 st weekend of November. Nothing since then. I know the hogs are still present as they rooted around my feeder. I put out a lot of corn Wednesday.

    Here's the issue. I went hunting yesterday and expected to see some movement because it was a mid week hunt. Less pressure on the deer. However, I'm not seeing anything but Hog movement. Heck I don't remember the last time I even saw a Vulture in the area. There have been reports of Black Bear movement in the area but I have not seen traces of that on the property that I lease.

    Any input is appreciated. Thx.
