People would not keep the lint from the buffer pad blown out and the sparks from the motor brushes would catch the inside on fire. A lot of people kinda dis on B&D but these buffers held up real good under commercial use in paint and detail shops real good if they are taken care of

 

Moved up to a 9.6v Craftsman after that. It lasted a week before the variable speed went out. Took it back and never bought another cordless craftsman tool. Lol

 

I started fixing buffers and Vacs for a company in Atlanta in 1985. They had 8 salesman that covered Ga. like a tool truck does. The salesman would bring me the equipment and I would fix it and the salesman would take it back the next time he went back. Mostly a one week repair turn around. I did while you wait repairs too but they cost extra. In 1992 the B&D store in Atlanta was told not to sell me parts because I was putting a hurt on them because I was so fast. After that I bought my parts straight from B&D and bypassed the store.

 

When I moved up to 9.6 volt I went with Makita still have it and use it.

 

I’ve ran about all of them. But slowly switching everything to metabo

Milwaukee makes great products but the chucks on their frills are garbage. Everyone we have has had them replaced.

 

What kind of frills do they have?
