Adding an image for display off & start up on 2020 models?

I guess making fun of people makes you feel more important than you really are? ... By the way asking if it’s no longer available and then asking if anyone knows “why” they discontinued it are two separate questions!

 

I think the answer is pretty obvious... the head units changed in that year and Toyota made no effort to include that feature in the design of the new head unit. The head units changed to accept Android auto and Apple Car Play... the previous head units did not have the hardware to support that software.

 

Finally - A mature response! That’s a good point, I forgot they changed the head units.

That’s my original question I was hoping someone on Tacoma World knew the answer to - before all the prepubescent “men” on here decided to comment. Why would Toyota discontinue this option, it was a nice way to customize your truck to your personality!

 

YEAH! Cause REAL MEN worry about personalized pictures on their start up screens and will get all emotional and defensive when the can’t get that!
