It's the Manual 5 speed, you can fry one pretty easily behind a V8.

That part I'm doing by myself; I just don't feel comfortable removing the airbag...

My mechanic is a former Volvo tech who has removed and installed numerous airbags over the years, so I think I'll let him do that. I'm sick of people busting my balls for being afraid to remove the airbag on my own, so I will now laugh at myself...

How many miles you got on yours. I take mine up to Seattle every other month or so. So that’s a 400 mile round trip for me

Are you going to install the parts at the mechanic and them have him install the airbag back ?
Or r u planning to drive it to your house w/out the airbag ? and install it at your house
    serious question

Once the airbag is removed, it should take less than 5 minutes to screw two screws and plug it in

While we're on the topic of ridiculously high-mileage cars...

The Peninsula Hotel in Hong Kong has always had a fleet of "Peninsula Green" Rolls-Royce automobiles used to transport VIP guests around the city; From 1997 to 2006, they had a few 1997 Silver Spurs. One of these cars had 500K miles on it when it was taken out of service! I have NEVER seen a Rolls-Royce from the 1990s or earlier for sale that had more than 90K miles on it, and it is not uncommon to find them with 10K miles or less!

No, the auto's in the 5.0 Mustangs sucked. You can get alot of miles out of a T5 if you drive it like a normal car but if you start powershifting you will wipe it out.

And I only ran over a dead skunk with the windows down; Smelled bad, but no bones puncturing tires...

Was the skunk you ran over already dead?

    o_O Hell no!

My truck needs the tires rotated, and this is something I would do myself if I had a lift at my house; I figured I'd kill two birds with one stone. Pete will remove the airbag, I will hook up the cruise control using the Rostra schematic and possibly take the truck for a drive on the bypass to test the cruise control before having the airbag bolted back into place, and then Pete will put the airbag back in.

@PennSilverTaco It's easy to overshift slamming 3rd gear and bend the forks in the T5, l put an aftermarket shifter in mine with external positive stops so l can slam 3rd as hard as l want.

Now you've just got to get the air-conditioner working!
