well that sounds better. I have no shark fin so that means I have a ton of room then.

I believe the shark fin is not mounted on the highest point, and is on the downward slope towards the bed - it might fit but could be close.

I believe based on the current dimensions, it is not recommended that you replace your bed rail caps.

Pretty sure the 2nd gens so far have been pre 2012 aka pre sharkfin.

1 is pre for sure. This one I think is a later 2nd gen by the taillights but not 100%

https://www.instagram.com/shaggy.cecala/ This would answer all of our 2nd gen SB questions. I think they joined the thread at one point. @ShaggyPA this yours? Taking a guess based on the name. =)

Can you JB weld that hole and drill a new one?
I guess making a slot without a machine/drill press is tough but maybe a dremel and some time.

Dremels are the wonderful duct tape of the hole-making world.

Yeah probably. I wasn’t super stoked on these quick mounts anyway, I’ll probably look for some reasonable options

not my photo, but helped me out. My GFC previously only had two wires and was reversed from what I found online!

That’s weird. Do they wire the 12v power into the camper?

Not all that weird to me, once wires are touched on a truck it’s a whole new world of liability. I’m glad they didn’t, so I can get the lay of the land as far as the wire chase and how I want my power wired in

FYI - those wire taps in that photo are called Posi-Tap. I highly recommend them. If you ever remove them, they just leave one tiny pierced hole in the wire that is easily closed up with a dab of liquid electrical tape or one pass of electrical tape from a roll.

I keep an assortment of Posi-* products in my toolbag on my motorcycle and truck.

Do you want just +12V or +12V and ground? How many do you need?
