Im drooling over the 2021 Ducati Scrambler Desert Sled. Its the bike that I should have gotten. I just didnt want to do another $13k bike. The Icon that I have now is really fun. I bought it on my birthday - July 30. And by the time I stopped riding in mid October, I already put 2000 miles on it. Most I have on any bike!

I wonder if they're gonna do a 400cc dual sport since they're getting rid of the WR250R. That may be a good one too.

Once my car is paid off I would like to get a 2006 sport classic. They keep getting more expensive though.

I do like Yamaha. I had a FZ09 for 5 years. Thats usually my limit. 5 years/14k miles. We will see how long I have the Ducati for..

Since we're on motorcycles now. I play derivatives in a fun money account to gamble and buy shit. I cashed out a couple weeks ago and paid for my truck shell with the bank's money. My next objective is a KTM 790 ADV. I've had a few 650 thumpers, but I'm after a big boy bike.

New Ducs should be fine. My 748 wasn’t good for 12k miles. They have come quite a way as far as longevity

True, but I really need to finish up my truck and camp trailer. After that, I'd probably grab a GX470 to DD...……..then maybe the 700 will have some time on it and can grab a used one. I've never been one to get new vehicles :D

New motorcycles are a total waste, there are plenty of people that buy them and realize they can’t ride them

I had a DRZ400 a few years ago. I'm still pissed I let that go. My health insurance started asking if we had any "extreme hobbies", I knew they were fixing to jack up the premiums, so I sold it. Last year they didn't even ask

This will be the first year in the US(they've had it in the rest of the world for a bit). I figure give it a few years to make sure it's a typical reliable Yamaha and see what the used prices look like.

yeah, but I’ve been with the state for 13 years starting from the bottom, first 6 with overtime opportunities that could double my yearly salary. Here we get no OT except if it’s a forced/voluntary double due to shift needs which is maybe once or twice a year. There’s a trade off.

At the moment our counterparts working in courts are literally getting paid to stay home and not work... so there’s that.
