That is the second or first bike I would buy. Been looking at both Kawasaki and Suzuki for nice examples. The GSXR is really the better bike but I really wouldn’t plan to ride them much. That’s the color I’m looking for too.

I got my first one Christmas of 84/5(I was 5). I learned to ride it in the hallway, then my folks turned me loose outside. My dad even built me an 8 track in the back yard

I’ve only owned Ducati and while Italian bikes might sound intimidating to some I think they are easier to work on.

My old roommate was buddies with Jason Britton(stunt rider) and Jake Zemke when he lived in CA. Right after I got mine, we headed down to Miami for him to grab a GSXR 750. I had always had dirt bikes. I learned a lot riding with him.

My cousin got the Suzuki version the same year. My grandmother had some land that we could all ride on. I would like to know how many miles we put on those things

Dirt bikes are the best way to learn. I’m sure you learned a bit from him but from my experience the dirt is where you learn to crash and how to avoid it.

I promise mine had 10k. We had a camp and 40 acres of land. That bike was a piece of shit and the points were always fouling. I learned how to cuss watching my dad work on it.

I learned to ride on my moms '73 Honda 125 enduro bike. Upgraded to a '83 nighthawk 650 after that. Still have both of those bikes and they both still run and ride

No doubt, but there's a big difference from dirt to crotch rockets. The braking was the biggest. It was also strange to me when I first started to "push" the front tire opposite of the corner. It was counter intuitive for me. I was so use to foot down and slinging the back end around on turns

Looks a lot more like a cb550... I don't think nighthawks ever had a kickstart?
