I asked them like 4 times before I brought them over thinking the same thing would happen like it did to you. They just kept saying its fine, they just kept reminding me they may not balance out right. These are also the pro comp beadlocks with "not for street use" stamped evreywhere on them.

Mine are the Allied steelies only stamped in one place with not for highway use. I didn't even tell them they were beadlocks. You got lucky I would say then and that DT "bent" the rules. Personally 37+ balancing beads and be done.

Ooooooooo I actually saw that and feel in the loop on that joke

Kinda like their finances too hence why the NASA budget just got shifted to SpaceX subsidies. Must be nice running "private sector" companies on the publics dime.

Yea the DT there was badass, gonna miss them!

I had beads on my old set of beadlocks and swampers and was not impressed. They seemed to only work like half the time, it was weird.

Yeah beads are that hit and miss. Centrifugal force may or may not allow them to get to the "low" spot in the tire. Also different times of year and temps there is more moisture in the air in the tires some beads are more susceptible to clumping with the moisture. Lastly depending on the beads you throw them in the bag and the bag busts but those suck again clumping. Some shops don't pay attention to that stuff with the bags and what not. I didn't balance my 37s at all and will never do anything to balance them just going to let them do what they are going to do.

Wait you put the beads in a bag? You are supposed to just toss them in the tire and let them roll around in there.

There's two different types. There's the balance beads that roam freely in the tire, and balance "bags" that move collectively. I've personally never done either, but after working for @Discount Tire for 15 years, I came across them a handful of times

No some beads they tell you to leave in the bag and the bag breaks open

In my experience 37s are about 12-14oz
