There is a very noticeable difference on mine within only a couple of turns or clicks.
If they’re tuned and sprung correctly, there will be a noticeable difference

I wonder if they buy enough bulk parts from king they don't come assembled and they do in house for that, and the ones that don't require new valving they grab off the shelf ?

Edit: read the follow ups from accutune disregard

Sure have, there was a small difference, but nothing to write home about. Money spent on those would be better spent on bypasses.

....It occurred to me that you thought I was talking about you, nope I was talking about the IG/YT clown.

You need to do alot more research before you buy anything. There's alot more to lifting these trucks than just installing a set of coilovers. Good luck with your truck and welcome to TW.

It's a bit of a rabbit hole. If you're lifting for the first time measure the hell out of your setup before you change anything, this will be crucial when it comes time to chase those driveline vibrations that are likely to happen. Also worth preemptively ordering some boot clips to stretch those cv boots. You can wait until after the lift but once it's lifted check out the boots and see if the fins are making contact - if they are, the friction will wear through the rubber and you'll end up with a dry boot and grease all over your truck. These are just off the top of my head.

Sorry to reboot this. How is the on-road driving different? Maybe from a less "better or worse" but more of a "firmer/softer, harse, body roll, ect" type. I'm actually in this exact same boat right now and this is the first i've read someone that has experience with both. If you have a few to dive into this, that'd be great! huge thanks either way

Sorry to thread jack, but wanted to hop in while this one is hot haha. I have kings for the second gen with adjusters. How many clicks do you guys have? I thought I read they have 24, but mine have 27 settings. Obviously not a big deal, just curious...

I'm curious about this too. All I hear is "it's better". My idea of a good ride is going to be different than somebody else. Despite all the comments on TW and other non-toyota forums, there are a few nuggets here and there. Somebody described the non-DSC ride as plush at what sounded like arterial road speeds. Which to me means softer with less impact harshness. But more people have said it's definitely firmer. So...don't know what to make about that. Most tend to agree the range of adjustment available on the (DSC and CD) FOX shocks as a very wide range and noticeable even between single clicks.

the issue is peoples definition of firm or soft on road. I've read through a dozen fox threads and could never get a collective answer, some say they are too soft and floaty on road others say they are firm so idk

There is also the issue bad information that floats around or just not having the knowledge in general. There is a significant difference between high/low speed dampening and it can be difficult to differentiate the two.

"Soft and floaty" to me sounds like low speed control, or lack there of. I'm making some assumptions here so I could be wrong but the point is there are different aspects of dampening control that need to be addressed.

I understand that. Low/High speed dampening still exists without adjusters. The DSC just allows you to make external adjustments. You not only have to differential the different driver preferences but also decipher what the user means by "soft and floaty" or "firm."

That's excluding other variables such as driving style, vehicle setup, etc.
