But I am not seeing anything else either which has got me curious. No rabbits, racoons nothing.

Any other human action on the lease? Farming, oil field guys, wind farm, running cattle? They could have run off the wildlife. And are you putting out hand corn when you sit? How are you getting to the blind?

No other Human Interaction except other hunters. I'm there most often and they have a more limited availability. No cattle, farming, wind farm is about 10 to 15 miles away and has been long established. Feeders put out most of the corn, I bait the road and add some extra corn around the feeder when present. I walk to the blind so no vehicular disturbance.

That does seem odd. Running cameras? Anything on camera? Maybe they went nocturnal

I stopped the cameras when season opened. I'll need to start again to see if anything is showing up at all.

yup apparently getting some up here starting next week.

As far as deer movement, All of November was unseasonably warm up here. most of the action was in the evenings after it cooled off. I ran my cameras all through November and I have one daytime picture of a buck. Every other picture I got was after dark. The rutt action didnt seem to start untill almost the end of November as well, seemed like it may have been a bit late up here.

It's unusually warm down here as well right now. Last night only got down to about 55 degrees. High today of about 80 degrees.

Having said that, even when I drive to the lease, I see deer everywhere including the wind farms. I'm sure The Black Bear movement in the area is a contributing factor but I can't see it being the only factor.

I wouldn't say its the bear. I've had my camera pick up a bear and deer coming to the same spot hours apart for multiple days in a row. There's some other reason you aren't getting much activity in the area.

Are you 100% positive no one is hunting there when you're gone? Sounds like human pressure of some sort. People are can be dicks.

X2. Even some idiot out walking around will change their habits, especially if normally no one is around.

I can't unfortunately say that with 100% certainty. I'm 8 miles in from the expressway and behind 2 locked gates. There are 2 ranches from our gate but the other ranch hasn't been legally hunted in about 3 years. I did reposition a post close to my blind to set up a trail cam. So the next time I'm out I'll put up a cam to see if anyone is hunting there.

Nothing big but I’ve got a lil buck and a fat doe in the freezer :)

I didn’t hit it real hard this year I think I’m starting to take on too many responsibilities lol. I did manage to squeeze in a big day on some of my favorite public land with my nephews and BIL. My favorite kind of hunting

Do u ever apply for the moose lottery?

At least you got some in the freezer.

I've applied every year for 30+ years and have been drawn twice. Have been a designated sub-permitee numerous times. Filled both my tags with nice bulls (last one was over 10 years ago) and shot another (cow) as the sub-permitee (my cousin was the permit holder and his gun jambed). Took them all with my good ole' Remington 740 Woodsmaster 30-06.
