So. Is this typical after you pay $250 for a detail? Asking for a friend. I can't tell if the white spots on the window trim is paint or wax, but I was able to wipe it off.

Am I nitpicking?

 

This coupled with all of the other things you’ve mentioned tells me they didn’t pay much attention to detail. Then again, I’ve never had somebody detail my truck for me, so I wouldn’t know what to expect.

 

I think if youre expecting a full interior and exterior detail, and every imperfection removed for $250 you're expecting too much.

 

I reached out to them and they gave me a full refund. I hate being THAT customer (because I work in customer service for a small company), but come on.

I get that the paint is pretty trashed (in spots) but I feel like they did a really mediocre job. They have amazing reviews on Google and my experience just wasn't up to par with everyone else's. Maybe because it's a Tacoma & not a Mercedes???

They reiterated to me several times that it'd probably take all day to detail it and then called me after 3 hours to say it was done. That should of been my first red flag.

 

I can respect that. But this is what was offered.

 

I stand corrected. If they offered a full refund, guess the expectation is much higher than i thought

 

I thought it was cheap too. But with their glowing reviews I went for it.

I know how to detail literally everything else other than paint correction and that's just scary to me. Unfortunately it's hard to find someone that will JUST do a paint correct. It's like they have to justify their cost with these elaborate packages.

The owner offered to do it himself, I told him I might return in the spring.

Just got my bed reinforcement brackets... ordered some grille lights from jrich44, got some new black badges coming, the black matte tailgate stickers.
