It doesn't appear to be made out of diamond encrusted gold but it must be for that price.

One of our main customers, 95% of the stuff we make for them is out of 316 stainless, some of the prices I see on the paperwork is crazy. They never complain though and keep coming back.

Sometimes that's the insanity of Nuclear Power, it's hard to say why...possibly batch testing, sometimes metal is pedigree all the way back to the mine that the ore come out of. One time had to replace belts on a fan and it looked like $40.00 belts on my riding mower. $600.00 a piece because certain amounts of them go through extensive testing like to high radiation exposure to ensure they will hold up. Now you have a better idea of my work for a living.

I'm kind of like an expensive insurance policy I feel like sometimes. When something breaks and they need it now! Or parts obsolescence.

I’m still trying to deal with a similar issue. Ordered a 6x8 greenhouse kit , but received the 6 x 4 instead. Seller offered a 50% refund but I wanted the right product. Took almost a month before they said ok and sent a single USPS return label, for 2 boxes (originally shipped to me via FedEx).
I stopped into 2 different local post offices to verify I couldn’t use it for both, and also found that one of the boxes also was too big to ship via usps.
After several totally useless emails back & forth, they finally emailed me another mailing label — a copy of the one they had already sent!
In order to end it, I said I’d accept their original offer of 50% refund ( cost was $630). They said ok, if I remove the bad review I’d put up on their Amazon page.
I removed it and let them know.
They then said I needed to cancel the return request, then go back in and select “ better price elsewhere”, which gives them the mechanism to give me the partial refund.
Of course, once I cancelled the return request, I now get “ outside return time window”.
That was a couple weeks ago and now all I get is “we’re checking with Amazon to find a way to get you the refund.
At this point I’m pretty sure they’re figuring I’ll just give up.
Next step will be to go directly to Amazon to see what they can do.
Guess I should have just bitten the bullet to ship it back at my expense via FedEx or ups ($150 or more).
    Thanks for letting me rant.

Yikes! I think I would have gotten directly in contact with an Amazon rep sooner. What I’ve found is that they have no patience with their third party vendors who jerk customers around. I certainly wouldn’t pay out of my own pocket to ship their mistake back, they’d probably ghost you once they received it!

Thanks! Im not as good on metal as you guys, but you all would have laughed. I used sockets, vice and a mallet with a hacksaw to cut/bend the pieces to shape then welded pieces together (welds arent pretty) but i pinged it and it didnt rattle so its solid i think.
