@Mattjaro I just came across your post here. Im not sure if you have a Prinsu yet, but I will be selling my AccessRac in/around April. Its currently mounted on my access cab. I can get any measurements for you if needed. But take note, I have a 2010, which has a lower roof antenna than newer models - I do not have a sharkfin antenna.

plasti-dip rims, storage/sleeping platform in bed, drivers seat flashlight attachment.

Yes that would be great! could you get a vertical measurement from the black rain gutter seal to the highest part of your prinsu rack? this will help big time in the design of the camper base.

    thanks in advance

I don't have my roof molding anymore. But from the top of cab to top of Prinsu it looks to be 3 1/4"

Anyone know where I can pick these steps up at? Sure would make getting onto the roof awhile easier.

I bought one of these and i keep it in one of the rear door pockets, it has come in handy a couple times when I have climbed ontop of the roof:

I’ve been thinking about a set of these since we got the hab. Wonder if there is enough material in the newer style walls to support the weight.

If you don't have a swingout rear bumper yet, maybe this is a good excuse!! Mine makes it easy to climb up onto the roof! Why spend $100 bux on steps when you can spend $1400 on a bumper!!

I like your thinking! I do already have the High clearance rear swing out bumper and that does allow good access to the rooftop but what I’m truly looking to do is make it easier to get on top of the roof. I put a bunch of L track and load bars up there now and I’ve got so many things mounted up there that I actually physically need to be on top of that roof to remove some of these things.

My Crude diagram. Normally I'm running my 11 inch drop hitch. So i step from the trailer ball up onto the upper cross tube (i thought about adding a flat step there, but it has plenty of tracktion), and then onto the top of the Spare mount (I don't run a spare tire, I have a big Case bolted here), and holding one of my roof bars I climb the rest of the way up. I have my Maxtrax up there and climb up there for them all the time. It really is easier than it looks.

If you weren't on the completely opposite side of the country I'd be selling my Flippac to buy your Habitat. :pout:
I LOVE the Flippac but the habitat tent is so much better.

Haha. Yeah, i'd be willing to drive a bit, but not THAT far. Round trip to meet you halfway would be like $800 just in gas, lol.

I only had to drive from Seattle to Salt Lake City (Equpt Outfitters). Wasn't even a year later a place up here started selling them...

Definitely made my brother-in-law's wedding much more exciting for me. We planned it out to get the Habitat installed the day before his wedding down there! lol.

I have a friend from NJ who drove all the way to MT for his GFC. Back in 2013 I drove to Moab from Philadelphia to get my RTT from CVT.

Definitely not a stranger to combining road trips with parts acquisition.
