I am new to the area since April and am posting in search of a Prinsu (5') Roof Rack for a canopy mount. I know it is super specific, but worth a shot.
I just bought a affordable Smittybilt RTT on Cyber Monday to take the family camping but my Thule Rack on the canopy is prohibiting mounting due to the feet being super wide.

I'm also a fresh AZ resident. I have a short bed Prinsu Top Rack for 2005-2021 Tacomas (5' bed) that I might let go. Sold my camper shell and was considering mounting it to my bed bars.

New they're around $600 & change plus shipping. Mine has about $180 of extra parts 2 extra cross bars (8 total) and 2 sets of 4 mounting feet. One set is the standard height and the other is the short 1/2". Willing to figure out a fair price.

I might be interested, if he’s not. Do you have any pics of it installed with the shorter mounting feet?

 

1st is 1/2” and 2nd is standard. Looks better with 1/2 but but depends on couple of things. One, if you will be running the rack over the cab and need clearance for the fin and 2, its a PITA to mount/remove a RTT when using the 1/2”.

 

Bump and lowered price. $1700 for TW members. Trying to raise some cash, hit me up!

I'm looking for a unicorn - a 2001-2004 White Tacoma with an access cab. Has to be a 3.4L and I prefer a manual but would consider an automatic. Would like to find something with miles in the 130-150k range. Mildly built with a small lift and a camper shell would be AWESOME!

I've got a healthy budget, and may consider trading my built & restored 1987 Toyota Pickup towards the right one with some cash on the Tacoma end.

PS - I will consider honestly any color, but prefer white

 

Thank you for your reply. I ended up just buying a cheap solution with the Cross bars and leer canopy feet from Prinsu. My wife gave me a dirty look when I tried to sell it.

What kind of roof rails are those on your truck? Any issues with wind noise or reduced mileage?

The roof rails on my cab are for the OEM roof rack. I never had the bars perpendicular to the truck because I never use the roof rack. It is removed now and I can’t tell if the gas mileage has changed. My day to day, week to week driving is not consistent enough.

The rails on the shell are the OEM rails from ARE. They are similar to Yakima roof rails. I think the basket/rack on the camper reduced the mileage a little, but never made noticeable noise

Removing all of the roof racks and the camper shell has improved gas mileage. Probably just a weight thing

 

Just got patched today. BUMP!! I'll be driving to Prescott tomorrow as well.
