Cautiously try out your tires and consider something more suitable to what you do. The stock OR tires are better than "highway" tires for driving in dry fields or forest access roads, but I'd get stuck in mud that wasn't all that bad. Airing down and using 4 low or the locker would get me out, but it's stuff that Falken Wildpeaks go through with no trouble.

The mods should ban this new member while he still has money in his saving, checking and 401k accounts.

Welcome to tw. X10 on getting a bed mat. Gator sells a reasonably priced one that works well, plus it has that strong fresh rubber smell. Oh yeah, they only ban you after you get your first post in, so be extremely careful here.

If I had your exact truck. I would lift it add Enkei RPT1 wheels 265 75 16 GY Duratracs, a Demello offroad aluminum front bumper, a Metaltech rear bumper, and Mobtown sliders and skidplates. SR black grill, and the head and tail lights from the TRD Pro.

dont know about thefts in your area, but consider a tailgate lock. I like the extra loud noise it makes, so I know when the door locks are activated. If you are handy, you can order the parts off the net for 25 bucks or so and it takes a few hours to install if you take your time.

I still recommend towing and hauling shit...as it is a truck...if not...sell it because you're an idiot if you bought a truck just to look cool. wtf?

I mean every "mod" I've made has served this purpose. If I didn't NEED a tacoma I wouldn't have bought one. Every mod I make improves the stock design for THAT purpose. I thought about a rav4 and 4runner but they don't serve my purposes...thought about a tundra and a dodge ram but I don't need those...tacoma serves my needs and I will mod it to meet those needs better. jesus...wtf again?

Drive it for a year first then change the things you hate the most first. The truck is pretty capable ight out f the box but depending on needs can use some improvement.

    Congrats on the new truck.

Before you go buying a bunch of BS you don't need, the only thing you NEED to get busy off road are tires and sliders. True sliders, not running boards/side steps. Also recovery gear but that doesn't count as mods.

After going out a few times and making friends in the community, you'll learn what you want and then go from there. Keep it simple, slow, and enjoy the ride.

On and my EDC is a sig p365. Great compact.

apparently too late...they bought a truck for props sake not for needs sake and are now hoping "mods" will rectify this....sad sad sad...good luck with that op...XD I have no sympathy for your buyers guilt and any mod will simply exacerbate your absurdity. I'll laugh at your useless mods like I laugh at every SUPER CLEAN lifted truck in town that never sees mud in it's life and has sub 40 sidewall tires

And I laugh when people are hellbent on proving their way of thinking is superior. OP wanted to enjoy the truck and looking for advice on where to start. Everyone is welcome to spend their own money however they feel like it. No need to call it useless, sad and absurd.
