Sure did! It's a lot of fun. On my way home from work I'm close enough to the beach and campground to hear parents yelling at their kids and construction teams talking smack. I've also used it for work for field training and operations.

Sounds cool. Got any photos of how you mounted it? I'm on the fence only because it's so big. Would it fit in the Qi cubby?

I'll take a pic in a bit. It's a great unit because of the power output. If you don't need/want the high power I'd suggest getting the smaller model. They also come with Emergency/Weather functions and instead of controlling it on the box you control everything on the mic.

I've noticed no one ever stuffs it in the cubby under the radio/AC controls (qi on 3rd gen). I'm guessing it's too big. Awesome radio, though.

I think you might have sold me. I wasn't planning on changing out my factory fogs, but now I am.

it’s a fairly long radio. On my 2nd gen I had to cut out the area near the srs ecu (Qi cubby region equivalent for 3rd gen) to recess it and mount it up. Makes it hard to mount in a clean spot.

First off, awesome shift knob. And awesome radio. Do you miss using the cup holders?
I made a box of cardboard the dimensions of the mxt400 to see if it would fit my 3rd gen and it seems like it would work, although I can't tell if the bracket has the room it needs. I think I just need to see one other 3rd gen with a mxt400 mounted that way to make me brave enough to drop the cash.
