Clean work. How you liking your Dometic? Hope you bought it before the overland taxes hit.

I think I was in Moab when you posted and forgot to respond. :anonymous:

I got it after the overland tax but just before they came out with the updated models, so I got a solid deal on it. It's been so awesome not having to buy ice or worry about packing a cooler this year. Gamechanger..

Otherwise, not much going on in here. 1st gen hasn't hardly moved. Found out the 14b has a gov lock so I'll need a whole new carrier for it one way or another.

Collecting parts for the 2nd gen - SPC uppers, ubolt flip, super bumps F&R, TC cam tab and spindle gussets, and some Bison offroad cams. Also got some diode dynamic fogs. Debating on shocks and leafs but will dive into that project in a few months. Probably get some poly bushing for the LCAs and shackles too, and that should be it for suspension.

Ouch! It'll be a while before I'm ready to start the part out, but I will have a 4.88 elocker third for sale.

OEM LBJs for the 2nd gen. Having owned a 1st gen, there's no other option than OEM. No idea why toyota doesn't let you buy them here, but they still got here faster from the other side of the world than anything USPS delivers

Going to grab @Night Eagle s old LCAs to rebuild. Bonus that they already have dual shear limit strap tabs we welded on.

Got a pair of old lowers to rebuild too - you going with the white line bushings? OEM always the best but luckily MOOG doesn't make or break it as bad as 1st gens on 2nd gens. How much were the ball joints?

$140 shipped. So more than double the Moogs, but worth it IMO.

I'll probably go with whiltelines. I was also researching superpro, but that got a little confusing. I like the idea of adding caster at the bushing so I don't have to have the cams as crossed up.

Also planning on adding grease zerks at the pivots, and welding up around the bushing eyes where they've been known to fail.

Or sell your Solo 1st gen LCAs...then buy some TC/Dirt King/Whatever LCA for 2nd gen.

$140 each or for both? For both isn't bad...

Good idea on the grease for your climate especially. I've been thinking about removing the barrel and making a jig for sleeves with regular 1 3/4 diameter delrin bushings - depends on how much time I have after completing my laundry list on my other truck. The white lines seem like the least of all evils.

When the 2nd gen arms start cracking all over like my factory 1st gen ones did, maybe. Until then the freshened up stock arms will fit my purpose.

Plus, I'll put the money from selling those back into the 1st gen build.

    Both.

Making some life changes - and probably selling the 1st gen. PM me if you're interested.

    Seriously.

Lame, I know. I promise I'll SAS a taco eventually.

You'll be invited when that day comes, but it's not today.

Put in my notice at work.

Planning on living out of the 2nd gen this summer and fishing and mountain biking as much as possible.

Not a clue what I'll do after.
