I started it up for the first time over the weekend since I have been down here. Me likey the power of being down at sea level! Couldn’t keep the front tire down 1-3. Also holy heck its loud I need to put a new exhaust on it. Stock expansion chamber is cracked in multiple spots.

those are beautiful machines, and the motors are bulletproof and sooooo smooth. I just can't imagine munchin' miles with all the weight on my tailbone for hours and hours. These and the Indian Scout tho....beautiful machines.

Seacoast NH native here. Sure do miss those roads...

First time out on the bike in weeks, sadly. Went to a wedding and reception on November 14 and started feeling sick around the 20th. Had a Covid test on 11/23 that came back positive. Off work now almost 2 weeks can't go back until I get a negative test. Had a test on Tuesday and waiting on results. Feeling a whole lot better so out for a quick 30 or so miles on a nice afternoon.

so I lane filter up to the front of a stop light and this dude is blasting Nine Inch Nails or some shit in a new BMW with his windows down. I already know he's a douchebag.

Anyways, the light turns green and he INSTANTLY honks and he guns it past me because I wasn't paying that much attention and I like to check intersections both ways before going. Then he is in front of me waving like he thought he won.

Had to put that little notion to bed immediately. Instant $70k buyer's remorse.

I think you and I have the exact same YouTube feed. Every video you post has come up in my feed before I see it here. Time to clear out my cookies I guess.

I had a student in a mustang last week try and race me when I was on my silver bike (scrambler build ninja 250). We were at a light and he peels out and when we get to the next light he’s all, “your bike is so slow, you could never keep up with me.” He peels out again. Cop 3 cars back gets him. I wave as I ride by, I wish he knew that I spent less on this bike than he will on that ticket, and in a curve, yes I could out run your 10 year old v6 mustang. It’s far less about what they drive than the driver. Around here it’s guys in Wrx’s and f150s that always have something to say.

it’s a work in progress. Aren’t they all. I got it for next to nothing because it didn’t run. It was the side stand switch. Free fix and 7k mile bike for less than I spent on fat tires.

Yeah, I managed to fit 130 90 16 front and rear on that little bike. They look a bit weird at first, but it rides really nice. Very sure footed with all that rubber and Very little power under 9k rpm.
