I kept mine out of the A-pillar but some have hidden it in there and have had success with remote starting. I have a 12Volt Solutions.

    Hmm . . . none as yet, that's why i'm here . . .
OK i've waited and waited just like the rest of you and I have two emails to Accessorides on this. Although they have been polite and I understand the USPS ABSOLUTLY SUCKS.
I bought mine Thanksgiving weekend it is still in PA waiting to head to Upstate NY. Maybe Santa is bringing it.
I am more than pissed off. I wanted to have the two kits installed by Christmas as presents. That ain't happening. DISSAPOINTED TO SAY THE LEAST
Accessorides did say they would make it right to their customers. I wonder what that means.
I even suggested they send two more kits that I ordered and send FedEx. Then i'll return the original purchase if I ever get them.
Not a happy customer. Really thinking of buying from 12 Volt Solutions with their Christmas deal then returning Accessorides anyway.
    I had to vent.

I know your frustration I have package that has been sitting in Ohio since November 14th. No movement at all. All these companies went to USPS because FedEx and UPS stopped picking up orders from a lot of companies due to no capacity. It’s going to be a shit show for awhile. My accessorides order today 14 days from PA to MD. Hope yours come soon. Jim

I get it too, I really do think its out of their hands but they were very polite about my issue as well. I was looking through the kit late yesterday and saw an orange wire with a connector with no info about it so i emailed them to ask (after6 pm) and they replied back a couple of times confirming what it was for. I have packages coming from 1 state away that taking well over a 2 weeks

Well, I got off at 4pm and decided "I'm gonna pop that 12volt solutions remote start in, looked pretty easy on the video" -- 1:45 hours later and it's all plugged in but I can't get the damn control module into programming mode. It will lock and unlock with the best of them, but it won't go into program like the directions say it should and I'm out of time. My daughter and wife will be home soon. Another thing to tackle tomorrow I suppose.

ETA: And I already know what I am missing. The install instructions don't say to hold in the programming button when you connect the power, only to "insert key into ignition" - I should have watched the programming video again instead of focusing all my time on the installation video.

Also let me tell you, that very last connector, the one that goes into the door for the locks? Pain in the god damn ass. Not sure how he had so much slack on his video, but my connector wouldn't actually come out of the side of the truck, so I had to blindly work it open to disconnect, and wedge the new connector into the space between the inner and outer skin of the cab, and then blindly get it to click into that connector. That took probably 20 minutes on its own.

I had to phone them and they walked me through a few different ways to get mine to program. PITA, but they got it to program after about 20 minutes. Good Luck.

I actually just went out and did it in about thirty seconds after watching the video on the support hub. So, it's all working now, I just need to see if I can get them to give me the installer configuration options so I can unprogram that "unlock all doors" feature. I'll put the dash back together tomorrow as I still need to wire in my light bar switch and wanted to clean up the wiring for a couple other ones as well.

I just experienced that this morning with the 12v solutions kit - it makes sense. The truck itself thinks you're still in the seat and need the light, that's why you didn't get out AND you left the stalk set to on. The Compustar system in my old F150 at least contained a timeout for that, and I'm not sure how they achieved it, but they were also true auto-lights that had a sensor and not just a "always on when the vehicle is on" style of "auto light"

Thankfully I swapped to well aimed LEDs with a cutoff shield awhile back and it hardly affected the battery for the hour it was on - I was testing the remote start for functionality this morning. But now I know, and thank you for pointing it out.

Still can't figure a work around. I have the idatalink maestro installed to my stereo deck. Which also plugs into the obd2 for telematics. Engine temp. Trans temp. Tire pressure. Etc.

But when plugged into the piggy back of the accessorides rides kit. When enabling remote start it just cranks. Doors will still lock and unlock.

Now when I unplug head unit from piggy back from remote start unit. it cranks and does it's thing and starts like a champ

So no matter the order I plug it into the obd2 port. Maestro first then remote start into that .. or remote start first then maestro into the back end of that. It seems it doesn't like sharing the port. Maybe case the head unit reads off the same data cable as the remote start to read the rpms?
