Could this be a new product in the works from @MESO? Have to say I got very excited when I saw this.

It's been on the works for a while. If I recall correctly they will plug straight to the extra plug on the puddle pod's harness. I'm running the ultimate turn signals and can't wait for these.

This is the first I’ve heard about them and I have to say I’m super pumped! I have a set from Tacoma Lifestyle now. But a setup like this would be so much better, especially to match my 2020 reverse sequential turn signals.

Yeah, the DRL was what sold it for me. Then boom, intense amber for turns

So essentially we are gonna have another DRL on mirrors? Plug and play ? I don’t have puddle lights .

these are the ones I have currently- sequential. 50 bucks Amazon. Match my OEM LED’s.

    Yes.
I have not seen information on wiring without the puddle light harness for the V5’s.
I had to run wires to my window control switch for DRL power. Both are running off my passenger side so I can turn off my DRL with my window lock.

First off, glad someone is watching my posts!

I will try and clear up any confusion on what these are and what they do, but first a little history...

For those that don’t know, I was the first to make smoked out and brighter turn signals for the Tacoma mirrors. They have been a great seller since day 1, but I always want to keep innovating and pushing the envelope. Next tweak was switch back signals. (White running light, that switches to amber upon turn signal activation). These were made in a limited production run (LE) about a year or 2 ago...never to be made again(each one hand made and took a lot of time). Then the “sequential” craze came upon us. Naturally, incorporating this feature was the next evolution for my turn signals. Welcome to the V5.

The name (Version 5) is the 5th rendition of these signals. I started from
The ground up, with everything I learned throughout the previous versions. But this time I brought in a heavy hitter in the lighting industry for help; Morimoto.

We spent months collaborating on a design that would be the brightest on the market while having the most features. And I can assure you these hit the mark:)

-What makes these different than your generic Amazon/alibaba signals?!

The First and most important is the engineered optics. These are little “magnifying glasses” in front of the LEDS which concentrate all the light and project it forward. This is the MOST efficient way to get a bright output. (Look at your LED DRL in the headlight which is essentially the same theory). How other companies diffuse the light is putting a big pastie white coating in front of the LEDS(called phosphorus coating) This cuts down on the output dramatically while looking very cheap. Morimoto really killed it with the design and there is intense light at every angle.

The second main feature of the V5 turn signals is the programmable turn signal flash pattern. I know customers want options and everyone has different light setups. So these have THREE patterns programmed internally that you can choose between to match your lights.

Mode 1:STANDARD- this is your typical flash on/flash off. I’d say for most customers, they will use this mode. Nothing fance.. just a flashing turn signal

Mode 2: SEQUENTIAL- this will flash in a trailing mode (starting from the inside and lighting up to the outside). This mode will match many aftermarket headlights such as Tacomabeast, Spyder, Alpharex, etc.

Mode 3: REVERSE SEQUENTIAL- this mode was designed to specifically match the 2020 OEM Toyota LED headlights. While it may look like standard sequential, the flash pattern is quite different.
How the OEM LED headlights(and this mode) work is the entire signal lights up solid, then it fades OFF in a quick trailing mode from inside to out. Look closely at a 2020 headlight and you will see what I am referring to.

    as far as installation...
Anytime you are adding a feature that wasn’t there from factory(DRL in the mirror) adding wiring is pretty much a given. However.. if you didn’t care about the DRL feature and just wanted to take advantage of the brighter turn and signal flashing modes, it’s plug and play in the mirror hooking up to the signal factory turn signal plug. But if you want DRL, a harness will be supplied to run through the boot and hook up. If you have my puddle kit, and it’s already wired in the door... it will have an extra plug on it that was future proofed for the V5’s so install will be a breeze.

As for release date.. I haven’t been very good on ETAs. However, I will tell you Morimoto is working on production now of the internals so it won’t be much longer. I’m excited for this as I think it will be a game changer in the lighting market:D

    Stay tuned!

Thanks for a detailed response. I’ve been following your mods and all the great reviews. I definitely want these- so for clarification- if I want the DRL feature to Match my OEM “LED DRL’s” I get a harness ? Can you please explain the hook up / install ? Forgive me- I’m not as tech savvy and I don’t have your puddle lights . Thanks man- I really like your products and how you taking to next level.

Kings, 275/70/17, a few custom items, lots of Meso mods.
For those who were not around when these were first on the market from Meso, here is The evolution of the Meso Ultimate Turn signals. Starting from top to bottom.

V1 and V2 are the same exceptV2 had a new led board. I did not have a set of the V1's when this pic was taken but was able to aquire a set/ These were hand made, sanded, tinted and polished from OEM signals. Not quite amber with the tint on but they were also a little darker when off.

V3 were the new Meso Custom molded version to accept the new brighter led board. V3 also has the Meso logo on the front.

V4 Has a slightly longer and even brighter led board. Logo is on the back now and new more dense foam surround.

Last are the Limited Edition switchback of which 25 were made. They are white DRL and bright Amber turn signals.

Next will be his latest which will be V5 switchback white DRL and sequential turn signal.
